I received this book as a Goodreads First Reads.

Encore is a fast paced intriguing story, reminiscent in style of Michael Crichton science fiction with a Dan Brown-esque theological element. With aspects of the classic Frankenstein story, complete with fanatical scientist "it's alive" scene and the use of , it retells the question of whether the good Doctor's Creature will be good or evil (but from a much more Christian perspective.)

Intrigue was probably what my enjoyment of Encore was limited to

I am the proud author of Encore and realize that my perspective may be perceived as a bit bias. I think it's a great book, but I make no claim to be any sort of literary genius. So don't take my word for it. The following are just a few of the reviews posted by its readers:

As is necessary...I won this book in a giveaway.

That being said, this book has some interesting concepts. I really wanted to love it based on the subject matter. I didn't. I liked it.

It was an enjoyable read but as the author states, it could use an editor.
