Franklin and Harriet is a great book if the children in your classroom are having trouble caring about each others feelings and sharing.
In the end Franklin realizes that being a big brother is important and sharing can be easy if you know it makes others feel good.

Helena, my seven year old, loves the Franklin series by Paulette Bourgeois. She brought more of them home for reading homework and A/R exams than any other. They're good, cute stories that usually have a theme to help kids through an issue.
I've shelved under parenting as well because my daughters are going through this almost daily. It's presented really well. They won't always share, but they do love eachother.

I really like Franklin...we watch him on TV, so we know most of these stories already. But this was another good one...teaches about sharing and being kind to younger siblings.
This one bugs me because Franklin and Harriet both wear jackets in the story and it appears that there is no physical way for them to put the jackets on.
