This book, although short, is imaginative and colorful. The illustrations are beautiful, the story simple but sweet. In "Jack In The Green" we discover Jack, a simple gardener, and his companion, Brub, must return balance to the world and save Spring from eternal darkness and imprisonment by the evil Graylock.

I was introduced to this book when I was very young and immediately I fell in love with it. My grandmother bought this book for me and read it every time I asked her to, even when I was old

I loved this book when I was a child. The illustrations are inspiring to a child's imagination- it's a shame most children's book illustrators today don't capture the amount of detail that went into books before. The story has a bitter-sweet ending where Jack of the Green manages to save the day but at great personal loss.

A cute and short fairy tale. Great illustrations and interesting mythology with cute and likable characters. I like that this book isn't afraid to address issues like death, seasons, friendship, risk, and choice.

All in all, I would probably read this to my children, if I had any.
