Glynis Hamilton is forced to contact her ex boyfriend and father of her son because her son, Todd has leukemia and Cort may be a match for bone marrow transplant.

Cort McBride had been in love with Glynis and wanted to marry her but he was not ready to get married at the time because he wanted to make some money first so he asked Glynis to wait for him, she saw what he wanted to do as selfish so after he had left she married his best friend.
