The information in this book was absolutely fascinating. The premise is that omega-3 fatty acids (primarily DHA and EPA) are essential for optimal function of every cell in our bodies (especially the brain and heart), yet our bodies don't manufacture them. We have to get them from diet, and the Western diet is very low in the foods which they come from (mainly oily fish and walnuts). Very informative book on mental health and omega 3s. It covers omega 3s in general well and how important they are to our health. The book was a little too "scientific" at times and therefore some stuff went right over my head.

If you're looking to improve or maximize your mental health through natural means, this is a must-read.
