Gabe Kasper, heartthrob of Buckhorn County, could have had any woman he wanted - if he'd had a mind to settle down. Which he didn't. The freedom of being a jack-of-all-trades with no one to answer to suited him just fine. And then a prickly, uptight, red-haired college woman showed up...

Elizabeth Parks needed Gabe to complete her thesis on heroism, but he didn't seem to th...more

Best Moment: When Elizabeth is talking to various people at the docks and Gabe is getting annoyed at being ignored and worried that he is not attractive or appealing to her. Priceless and well written.

Worst Moment: When Gabe says something along the lines of "Your smile is so beautiful, I feel it in my pants." So...romantical...I'm going to cry. I thought only Borat was capable of such tender, sweet sentiments.

Synopsis: Elizabeth Parks is researching Heroes for her Thesis when she goes to find G...more

The series review will be on my blog, but Gabe has been my least favorite story so far. Gabe is the real "lady's man" of the brothers, although they all are quite gorgeous. He falls for a girl that he first sees as not that pretty, but she has a great body and she doesn't seem interested in him. I'm thinking the chase and discovering her as a person is the appeal. I didn't really like his love interest myself, she was hard to attach to and seemed out of left field after characters like Honey and...more

Gabe is just such a loveable character and by the time book 3 rolls around it's time for him to fall in love instead of just chasing women. Elizabeth is a great character in that she's totally different from every other woman he's ever been interested in and it really bothers him that she's not interested in him. That's definitely a new thing for him!

Again, I loved how we get enough of Sawyer, Honey, Casey, Morgan, Misty and Jordan to keep up on what's going on so we still felt like we were conn...more

This is my first visit to the brothers, yes I know I'm reading them out of order. Gabe was adorable but the story didn't really grab me, neither did the h Elizabeth who came off as a stereotype of stuffy and prim just to rival Gabe's laid back attitude. She had barely any substance. It also felt extremely rushed and the story between them wasn't developed to where I could believe that Gabe would fall in love with her. It wasn't an outstanding read for me but my interest was piqued in the other b...more

Gabe is the local Lothario, yougest brother of the clan, chased by ever woman in town, gorgeous, sexy, and the town hero to boot.

Elizabeth is a prim and proper bookworm, buttoned up to the neck in 90 degree weather, with unruly red hair, and a secret agenda. She is 22 and never been kissed (at least not properly)with a killer body and no self esteem.

Sooooo, of course Gabe falls for her lie a ton of bricks! wonderful, sweet story!

Awwww. My favourite Buckhorn Brothers book by far. I still have Jordan to go, but I just don't know if it'll live up to this one. I adored Lizzy, much more than Honey or Misty (and WTF kind of names are those anyway?) Gabe was a lovable lug trying to figure out that he was finally a grown up and that falling in love is a good thing. Not much of a review, sorry.

I really liked the girl they picked out for Gabe in this story. She was out of the ordinary and I liked that...that made this story very sweet in addition to sexy. I keep giving these four stars because I can't quite see them as 5s, but would definitely recommend the series - it's a strong heavy 4 :)

I must say that i have a thing for Lori FOster! I keep loving her books.

Gabe was a sweet, sexy hero and fell for Lizzy so hard. It was nice to see the other brothers again too.

Lizzy was a great nerdy red head who brought him to his knees.

I am already reading Jordon.

i love this family but i'm not a fan of players even tho u cant not like Gabe. with this strange women asking question about him being a hero which he doesnt see himself as.
slowly he realises the geeky looking women is more then meets the eye.

I'm not sure which brother I love more! Gabe's story is y far my favorite. I was getting tired of love triangles so I was pretty excited to find this story and while I thoroughly enjoyed the other two I loved that this one didn't have any drama!
Raquela celemen
This my favorite on the entire series. I'm actually laughing out loud while reading this. I was so entertained i recommended it on one of my GD's friend. But I recommend this to all! I promise you wont waste your time and money;)
Amanda
I really enjoy this author and this series was great! I really couldn't decide which brother I liked more.. and who doesn't want a family like this? Very charming.. I look forward to wrapping it up with Casey.

I didn't think I would enjoy this one as much as the first two, as Gabe seemed a bit too laid back, and I like my guys Alpha... I am happy to admit I was wrong. Gabe just needed the right woman to bring out his Alpha side (although he was still quite sweet about it). Really liked this story and plan to read about Jordan very very soon.

What should I say about this book. Well, not my fav in the series... I could not relate to the heroine.

Gabe was charming at his best but Jordan was a big surprise here.. and what NO Cassey!!! :( I hope next book has more Cassey or some at least!!! :(

Overall a good book.. the seduction here is high!!I just read this book for the brothers.. :D They are so sweet together...

Ok I'll admit it I don't usually read these lil' romance type book but this series will grow on you with each book. The brothers are amazing and by the time you get to this third book in the series you really feel like you know them all and are ol' friends.

Great short reads (under 300pg) you can fit in in a night =)

Liked this book much better than Sawyer. A bit dated with Gabe running around in cut off blue jeans -- but otherwise this holds up pretty good for a Harlequin written at least ten years ago.

Gabe was a fun character to read. I'm really liking the Buck Horn Bros. series. There's romance but there's also humor. I love the way each of the brothers are so different yet they work as a family.
Glynda Roy
Such a great series! Fantastic. So much fun and romance. I don't know why I waited so long to read this series. But I am glad I did. It was perfect!!
Jemi Fraser
This was fun! I enjoyed the characters and the setting - fun town. It's the first book I've read by Lori Foster, but won't be my last :)
Rae
For some reason, this one didn't flow as good as the first too. seemed to be missing something. Liked it but didn't love it.

I just recently finished Sawyer's story, and I'm well into Morgan's story ... so I just have to finish the series!
Sandy
I really liked this story. I thought it was charming and sweet. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.
Kari
Loved Gabe's story! A nice change to see one of the brothers pursue and figure things out aheasd of time!
Lil
It was just ok. I can't believe this has such a high rating here. Oh well, to each her own.
Sharon Sherman
It's hard to cope when you have been branded a hero. Read to see how Gabe does it.
Cecelia
These book s are wonderfull, in fact the whole series is very strong, a must read!
Hpitcher
