Wow.

About half of this volume is plotted by the penciler, Steve Ditko - and those issues were fantastic. Things really kicked up a few notches, and even Stan Lee took on a much more serious tone with his scripting. We got the first of the long, dramatic action sagas that Spidey is known for (in this case, the Green Goblin's first discovery of Spidey's true identity) and some really shocking twists and turns.
