In January in libraries across America, the penguin storytime is obligatory; this week we are experience April snowstorms in New England, so it's the perfect time to revisit those funny little tuxedoed birds. Penguins, Penguins Everywhere is a bright cut-paper collage picture book that delivers penguin facts in a rollicking rhyme. Both Arctic and Equator dwelling penguins are covered, and the vibrant blues of the North contrast appealingly with the yellow and orange heat of the South.

This is a nonfiction book intended for primary readers. It is an informative story about different kinds of penguins and fun facts about them and how they live. I liked the art,not very true to life but fun to look at. I found it very informative and it made me want to learn more about these interesting animals. This would be a good way for young children to learn about these animal. It gives facts in an elementary way that makes the information easy to digest for younger children. This would be...more

Easy, simple text accompany bright illustrations of penguins at play, where they live, and how they form families. There is a penguin puzzler at the end of the book with questions "Who Eats Penguins?", "What Do Penguins Eat?", "How do Penguins Move?" and Why Do Penguins Look the Way They Do?". There is also a "Penguin Parade" at the back of the book which details all the different types of penguins.

Used for "Penguin Party" Storytime-July, 2010.

This was another of my favorites from this round of story times. The kids are excited and surprised to learn that there are so many types of penguins and that they are found all over the world. I wish that more time had been devoted to each species of penguin but the fun rhyme and the great, colorful pictures make up for any lack of penguin diversity! This one is all fun!

Another book for our November reading log. I bought 2 copies of this so that each of the children could have a book. My son loved the book. His favorite part was the penguin parade. As a mom I liked that there was a little quiz in the back of the book for comprehension.

Three cheers for Bob Barner's vibrantly illustrated, spare text picture books. More fun is in store at the book's end with lots of questions on the "penguin puzzler" double page spread and on the "penguin parade" double page spread which features 17 kinds of penguins.

Very short book and the puzzler at the end is confusing because it doesn't tell the answers unless all the answers are correct. Then why it's called a "puzzler" I don't know. But illustrations, rhymes, and info is cute and fun.

A cute, easy-to-read picture book about penguins. I love the pictures. Way colorful and beautiful and simply fun to look at. The section in the back also includes more details. A good book for little kids or struggling readers.

Love the color contrast--great for keeping infants attention. The information presented was helpful. I didn't know about the warm weather birds. Also, the rhyming is good to keep little ones interested.

While I read this book, it actually taught me things that I did not know about penguins. Like that octopus eat penguins.
