I am not sure if Tower of the Crow would be considered a gothic or romantic suspense; anyway, it falls somewhere into those categories. Jan, the heroine, is an American student visiting rural Ireland (depicted as a quaint mixture of poverty and superstition) to look at a historical tower her grandfather has purchased, sight-unseen.
