Pleasant surprise. There's more to this book than the title suggests. I found it quite indispensable for an essay on Loyalists. Far from focusing solely on women, I found this book to quite effectively describe the Loyalist realities with, perhaps, more care to discuss a woman's perspective and experience but not singularly
