surfing or any sport fans
The title of this book is perfect because Laird Hamilton really is a Force of Nature. He is such a phenomenal athelete that it is amazing to read about his workout routines and his life philosophy. The book covers four areas: mind, body, soul and of course surfing. In each area Laird discusses his philosophy and gives tips for excelling in all areas of your life. Amazing photography and a lot of great advice on healthy, happy living. Includes much more than I ever expected on healthy eating and exercises (complete with a grocery list and photos of exercises).

Laird Hamilton is a man who has not let anything hold him back from attaining his dreams. Images of him surfing 8 story high waves are now familiar to most of us. In this book he shares with us his inspired way of living; from his spiritual beliefs to his day to day excercise and diet routines. While much of the sports information can be found elsewhere, Laird's incredibly positive, adventurous, and creative view of life make this book stand out and a pleasure to read.

A little contrived in places, but an inspiring read nonetheless. The guy knows what he is talking about. His workout routines are great and some of the other discussions about life philosophy is straightforward and useful: "Live harder."
