Amazing, don't know where to start! It is refreshing to see a Doctor being passionate about, what I would call, prevention "science". It is great to understand that so many disorders are reversible if we understand the needs and requirements of our bodies.
In addition, it sheds light on the pharmaceutical, food industry's, Health Organization's greed...

Overall a great book taking a look at the importance of nutrition.
It also devotes a chapter 'Surviving a Terrorist Attack' (i.e. nuclear exposure, biological warfare, etc.) and lists each attack along with a list of nutritional supplements to combat/support symptoms of each issue.

I'm keeping this book as a reference book of sorts. It is full of interesting things about nutrition and alarming facts about how our government agencies that were designed to assure the safety of the things in our food and environment have failed. Not a book to sit down and read end to end, and I will not take the mass of supplements recommended in it. BUT, I do read labels now and am more conscious of what I eat.
"Praise for Excitotoxins: "Detailed and well researched, yet is written in such a fashion the nonmedical person will come away with a good understanding of the subject." Medical Sentinel
