Excellent. I first learned of Eric Van Lustbader in 1982 or '83. As a teen, I loved shows like The Master, Enter the Ninja & Revenge of the Ninja starring Sho Kosugi.

Lustbader added so much more to it. I loved The Ninja, The Kaisho, Floating City and now Second Skin.

These books are less exploitative than Sax Rohmer's Fu Manchu series or Earl Derr Bigger's Charlie Chan mysteries. Lustbader has created believable Asian heroes and villans by removing stereotypes like pidgeon English. I often se...more

Lustbader's language is superb. I got really mesmerised with the prose. This is only my second pure-Lustbader book apart from 'Sirens', besides these I have read all the Bourne novels by Lustbader. c1996: I have travelled far with Nicholas Linnear and this book did not leave me wanting. Highly recommended but start with #1 else it may lose its impact. As Lustbader creates a complex, giant microchip of a story, mere human readers enjoy sunrises...more

Superb! The action, the thriller, the erotica, the knowledge of the orient, the historical facts, all amounts to a wonderful piece. Leaving me totally exhausted when finished. Bravo Lustbader! He is my all time favorite author
I wasn't real impressed with this book. I think a lot of that was due to the fact that it is a story that has characters that were started in a previous book that I had not read.
