I'm terrible at writing reviews, so this is just a note to say that I really enjoyed this book, and enjoyed making some of the things in it. It's such a joy to see something take shape with just a few folds! I came to this book without any real experience in origami, and believe me, if I can do it, you can too! I used the password in the book to access the downloads on Ms. Ng's website (thank you, Ms. Ng for making that available to readers!), which allowed me to print out the paper I needed ...more
Girligami is a lovely little box on the art of modern origami. Written by Cindy Ng, the twenty designs are original. There are multiple pages at the end of the book so you can make all of the origami designs without having to get any extra supplies (besides a pair of scissors and some patience), and websites are listed that have paper to print.

Kids are so into origami--so this might be a hit. Part of me would hate to introduce it to the library because it's so obviously for girls, and I hate drawing that girl/guy-book line to strongly, but at the same time, it could be lots of fun. I'd like to look at it more closely!
The projects were cute but they rely on pre=printed paper found in the back of the book, so what do you do whenyou run out of the paper? Nevertheless, the shoes were delightful. si I have to admit I still liked it.
I looking forward to trying out girly origami things to make with my own little lass...looks fun & adorable!
This book does look interesting. I have not really read it much though
