I very much enjoyed this book. As an erotic romance it was a rousing success, and since that is my main reason for reading it - this was good! If, however, you are looking for a great murder mystery, or a police procedural, this book may be less satisfying for you.

I originally picked up this book for the BDSM elements and because I have a bit of a literary kink for partners who are unexpectedly thrown into highly charged situations and have to work their way around their sexual attraction in order to get the job done. I have to say that this book definitely hit the nail on the head in those regards.

A really great book I just went back to and re-read this past week. Filled with outstanding characters, many of which reside in the darkness of the BDSM dungeon where Mick and Caro go undercover to ferret out a serial killer. I got this book because story line sounded interesting. Two police officers (Caroline and Mick) go undercover into the BDSM scene to find a killer. Caroline never had any interest in this life style but she agrees to go as Mick's slave. The book was ok to this point. I did not care for him treating her like a sex object at work in front of coworkers. Otherwise it was a very hot read.
I really loved this book. It took me by surprise. It had all of the elements I enjoy, a plot, a mystery, good characters, hot sex, a bit edgy, gritty, dark….defiantly not like the current run of BDSM themed books; it had something you could sink your teeth in.

This was a great crime mystery along with some steamy extras. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who the killer was (more accurately, wondering if there was going to be an unforeseen twist). I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought it would. I think mainly because there is an actual story behind all of the sex and also characters who don't quite fit the mold; especially Michael. It explores the whole thing about dominance & submission very well - why people would go down that road and enjoy it. And the author explains the reasoning and thought process very well. The ending is also very ambiguous and the author explains it in a footnote. You are certainly left wondering.

Thank you Ms Black for another smoking hot read. I must say first and foremost that most erotic suspense stories I read are very weak on the suspense end. The Villain is usually pretty obvious and the tension clearly manufactured. Not so with Slave to Love, the villain is up in the air throughout, with numerous potential bad guys as supporting characters. The tension continues to ratchet upwards as the narrative continues, and it doesn't let up till the very end.

Can I just say wow! This was a super long book and I couldn’t put it down. To me, this book describes a BDSM relationship perfectly (or as how I see it should be). The story line for this erotic romance is just as compelling as the sex. There is a serial murderer loose killing couples involved in the BDSM scene. In order to have the killer follow two of the police officers, they need to join the local leather club. That leads to a mutual attraction between them. The actual story line was easy to follow and stimulating. The sex did not distract from it. Overall I found the book very good and would recomend it to anyone interested.
