This is a fascinating resource. Of course I immediately looked up the family info I had. John Holmes came to the U.S. from Coleraine,Ireland in 1765 with his wife Mary McCalfee. That's all the documentation we have and my father had said that most records were destroyed in the 1920s in Ireland. But this has resources if a person wants to write or visit and by county.
