Amelia Bedelia returns to play (havoc ) in the school orchestra's concert. She's just as happy with a flat bee as with a B flat. And if you need a wind instrument, what works better than an electric fan? Amelia Bedelia's legion of admirers are sure to applaud this virtuoso performance.

Recommends it for: parents reading with their children
This is another classic story in the Amelia Bedelia series of books by Herman Parish, who continued the series in honor of his aunt, Peggy Parish, who created it. The story is fun and the illustrations are hilarious. This story helps to explain about conductors and orchestra musicians. Our girls really enjoy these books!

In her latest hilarious adventure, Amelia has gotten things all mixed up when Mrs. Rogers send her to the station to pick up the conductor for the school concert and Amelia shocks her with the train conductor! Another great read aloud for students that contains simple language and is a great option for students to read aloud to their peers or to an adult.

This book was disappointing to me because it is not how I remember Amelia Bedelia and really wouldn't want to use this book in my classroom after all. This is because I feel like it belittles women and the conductor is not nice and does not explain anything to her.

I would recommend Amelia Bedelia so any child. It is so funny and I love how it pokes fun at the English language. I am always amazed that Amelia Bedelia is still hired after all the trouble she causes :)

My daughters and I love reading these books together. Any of them are great! I read them when I was young, so I'm glad my girls like them, too.

I love Amelia Bedelia!!!

I read these books when I was a child, and still have memories of the stupid tales that make me smile. These books are great if you have a child in the family--even more so if you are a child at heart.

Herman Parish is the author of Amelia Bedelia children's book series, nephew of original author, Peggy Parish. Having grown up with his aunt’s tales of Amelia’s humorous misadventures, Herman decided to carry on the legacy after his aunt’s death in 1988.
