If you are looking for a book to solve all your problems, this is it! Really.

I recently developed a fascination for NLP after discussing it with someone at a party. I had known about Neuro-linguistic Programming for about 10 years but I didn't pay much attention until now. I discovered that my understanding of NLP was mostly wrong and it suddenly became a new hope for me to perhaps overcome problems I've been struggling with for years.

There are all sorts on books of NLP ...more

Being a student of Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP (NLP in simple words is the language of your how your mind operates) since the age of 21 but never taking it seriously until last year (that is nearly 13 years later), I still hear so much of controversy which shrouds a discipline that is not yet accepted into mainstream science. Nevertheless, today NLP has become a vital part of all organizations, training programs and self-help sessions both in the corporate and professional world. And thi...more

Worthless--

In audio format. Get the book. Really. The book is a goldmine of useful NLP patterns and exercises, which are pretty hard to do while on a bike or on the way to the train station. The format also makes it next to impossible to go back and find particular patterns that you need RIGHT NOW.

So get the book and stay away from the audiobook.

As far as the content is concerned, Bandler makes it painfully clear what NLP is, especially what in the world "...more

This book is an intro to neuro-linguistic programming and like many "Intro to ...." books it is quite boring. Here, I'll sum it up for you. How to get the life you want. Think of something you don't want to do. Now think of something you do want to do. Take the feelings you associate with the thing you like doing and make yourself feel them when you think about the thing you don't like doing.

Did that sound vague? That is probably why NLP is not a required course for psych...more

NLP, or neurolinguistic programming is generally associated nowadays with people in leadership or sales positions because the concept behind this study is so simple and powerful. This book, however, written by the person who coined the term and perfected the techniques to help people who just couldn't function in the world and couldn't be helped by anyone else, is a wonderful read. After going over the concept and how it's been applied, the author walks the reader through the steps of neurolin...more

I am a fan of Bandler and his NLP work. This book can be a bit derivative at times, especially when you simply want him to tell you what works. Overall, there is something in here for anyone and everyone. Feel free to skip around to get to the "good stuff".

I have been using NLP techniques for years but didn't really realize it. At The Monroe Institute, most of their lessons involve some NLP technique. Even my current teacher, Dov Baron, whose book Don't Read This...Your Ego Won't Like It!contains many NLP techniques as well. I finally decided to go to the source, Richard Bandler. This book gave me the groundwork and background for what I have already studied. I found that Get the Life You Want's narrative and exercises were easy to understand and ...more

A pretty high level overview of NLP and it wasn't really anything too exciting/interesting. Probably wouldn't recommend it but it was alright.

I have the E-book but have not really gotten into it yet because I'm waiting for it to arrive from Amazon.com (Last Copy)

This book is extremely hard to find, all book stores are sold out. I recommend this book for anyone who is serious about learning to use your brain effectively, learning about human behavior, physiology, or is in the medical field.

This book is NLP for anybody.
