This version of the Sherlock Holmes mythos expands on Dr. Watson's revelation that Holmes was a narcotics addict. The World's Greatest Detective is a maniac completely out of his head on drugs at all times and Dr. Watson, his own personal "Dr. Feelgood," isn't much b ...more

Wellllllllllllllll, thank you for some very weird mental images, Omaha Perez. Man, Holmes is hung like a Clydesdale.

GN YA PEREZ - drug use, nudity, violence
Hadyn's skull has been stolen from the British Museum and Sherlock Holmes is called in to recover it. Could it be that his nemesis, Moriarty is behind the theft?
These four short chapters poke fun at Watson's enduring admiration for the drug-addled Holmes. Perez's depiction is of a bungling, drugged, violent, and delusional Holmes, kept from prison only by a connected relative. It was mildly entertaining, but not enough fodder to sustain the page count. Old
People admire Sherlock Holmes for his scientific mind and Dr. Watson for his tender heart. But what if Watson's sentimental stories were the product of an unreliable narrator severely impaired on self-prescribed brandy? His adventures with a coke-fueled Holmes amount to a mind blowing account of epic debauchery. Shocking and terrifying. And if you can have a sense of humor about your favorite duo, also hilarious.

The fear and loathing version of Sherlock Holmes, entertaining!

Fun book. Not a huge fan of the art in some places, which seemed a bit rushed. But the book is essentially "what if Holmes and Watson... were Raoul Duke and Dr. Gonzo instead?" and how can you not love something that wild?

So bad. I think tweaking the old image of Sherlock Holmes into something new is great, but it's not clever, or even very funny. I'm tempted to show it to my Holmes-enthusiast friends just to watch their heads explode.

The humor was a bit over the top for me but I liked the art.
