I tried to read this book through but found it laborious because its a diary and there is a lot of day to day information that is hard to follow without knowing all of the players and exactly what was going on.
I ended up using this book as a resource a lot when reading other LDS history books. I'd look up significant dates cited in other books and read what Joseph recorded about them. It's great for that purpose.
