ive had it since i was- well, im twelve now and i dont remember a single christmas eve without it (or- the night it rained toys and twas the night before christmas) both of which i have memorized, and the smells have faded- but that just made my memory of the book more special, though my main memory of i will - of course be sitting by the fire and my grandpa reading it to me whist i dreamt about the next day and the presents i would get- i will also think about the years he would let me try and ...more
This was my favorite Christmas book as a kid and was so excited when it was republished a few years back. Now I love reading it with my kids. However, the printing quality must not be as good as the scents in the book have never worked very well. I have had to improvise (ie. cutting slits in an orange peel and rubbing it on the orange page, etc.)
A book that welcomes the sweet nostalgia of the scents that are usually present at Christmas-time. My complaint about owning the book is that the scents for scratch and sniff are long gone (while a different book I've owned since I was a kid still has its scents).
OMG! I love that you can find ANY book on here - even scratch-and-sniff children's books! Anyways, this one is a personal favorite of mine that I read as a child and still read every Christmas.
This book was given to me when I was 4, by my parents and I adored it throughout my youth. Still have the original book they gave me and I bought one for my son when he was 4-still have his as well.
I still read this book at Christmas. And even though it is about 35+ years old, some of the scents still smell. The hot chocolate is my favorite scent in the book.
One of my very favorite books as a child, and happily, one of my daughter's as well. She never seems to get tired of this one. Maybe it's the scratch 'n' sniff factor.
A fun Christmas story with scratch and sniff stickers. My younger sister and I liked it so much that we scratched away all the smell.
Loved it as a kid and my 3 yr. old has wanted to read it every night since the Christmas books came out of the box.
I have had this book since 1985 and all the scratch and sniff stickers still have smell.
Pure nostalgia for me, Mimi immediately figured out the scratch and sniff.
My daughter absolutely loved this book when she was little.
This was one of my favorite Christmas books as a child.
My favorite Christmas book as a child!
One of Nolan's favorites for Christmas!
A childhood favorite!!!
This is my all-time favorite children's book. I had this book growing up and have very fond memories of it. When they re-released it a few years back, I bought it for every young child I know.
Kids like to sniff things...especially sweet things that have to do with Christmas! A very sweet book for young children. My son read it over and over and over again.
Cute little scratch and sniff for very little kids. Probably a lot of better secular Christmas books out there for kids but cute enough.
I read this one when I was little, and bought it for Maddy - she loves it too! She pretty much has it memorized!
A childhood favorite about holiday traditions, complete with scratch-and-sniff stickers. Kids love it.
I almost forgot I read and love this book...
doesn't have any smells left :-(
