This is one of those books where I spent a lot of the time reading it very jealous that I did not write it myself. Ammons seems preoccupied with the weather, sure, but there is more here. This is a real in depth look at reality, truth, contradictions which are so contradictory that they become similar, and what it means to be human.

I am mesmerized somehow by his snow poems, though I do not know why. Maybe it is the snow, but I think something much deeper than that.
