Set during the end times of the Napoleonic Wars on the rugged Cornwall coast, this is a wonderful historical tale complete with smugglers, wreckers, secret tunnels, an escaped murderer ~ and of course romance!

I can tell it was written in the 1980s, but it had a certain charm to it and added to the historical feel of the story. The titles of certain people weren't always consistent or presented correctly ~ Lady Sanford being unmarried should have had her Christian name in there, like Lady Charlot
