Don’t ever forget for whom this blood was offered.
OMG!! I can't believe what happened actually happened!! Wow! I knew it was coming... but then again I really didn’t they’d… but then I saw with my own eyes that they... OMG! Wow! Vampire Knight 7 is definitely not the manga to miss! This book took the story to a whole new level. Loved it!

Could this volume end at a worse cliff-hanger? No, didn't think so.
While I love this story, it tends to stall at times. There will be pages of beautiful artwork where not a whole lot happens. The characters have so much more potential than they're given. That's not to say I don't enjoy this series: I do. The intrigue is what keeps me as interested as I am, but the reread value probably isn't as high as other series I follow.

I'm not even that crazy about this series... at least that's what I've been convincing myself of. Yet, each time I read a volume, the story somehow latches its grips into me and I'm already reaching for the next volume before I've even finished the one I'm currently reading. I do believe I've become hopelessly addicted to this series.

The seventh Vampire Knight volume is all about Yuki seeking her past. She was attacked by a vampire ten years ago and saved by Kaname. That's all she knows. Everything before that is a blank.
Yuki is sure that Kaname knows something about her past but is afraid to ask him. At first, she goes to ask but chickens out. She worships Kaname and is terrified that he'll think poorly of her

I've been expecting this series to slow down at some point, but every time I think it might it just bounces back and gets stronger. Some of the finest artwork so far appears in this volume as Hino has really worked out how to create a gorgeous page layout to full effect. This volume is also a little less confusing and more character heavy, focussing a lot more on Yuuki's confused relationship to her past and how this affects her relationship to Kaname. There seems to be a wall every mangaka hits where they simply run out of ideas. Granted, some of them are able to put fresh spins on the old ones (Rave Master and Bleach have gone just about forever without a great deal of obvious repetition, for example), but this syndrome—we'll call it idealeech—tends to lead to either recycling old plotlines in new situations (the end of Yuyu Hakusho, for example) or grasping at the same kinds of straws one foun...more

Bwahahaha. When Kaname said that to Yuki, I almost fell out of my chair, I was laughing so hard. It's so wrong, in so many ways. But, it's things like that that make me enjoy this series. (Although I do find it interesting that in the anime, Yuki does not invite Zero along to this meeting with Kaname -- In the manga version, it's hard to tell if Yuki was being oblivious or really cruel.)

I could care less about Kaname and Yuki, the Mary Sue Twins, at this point. I'm here for Zero.

this book talks about this girl being kidnapped. she was suppose to bring this kid to find his lost mother, but then the kid was vampire and she didn't know. she faint when the little boy kissed him because the little boy sucked her blood. she fainted at this building that a bunch of vampire had a meeting or party at. she was hidden there by her friends to protect her safety for the party so no one would know that she is the only human there. she was stuck at this room. but she didn't like it an...more

I must say, I didn't hold this series in high expectations after the first volume, but then I watched the anime and continued reading and wound up loving it! This volume would have to be my favorite one so far, but since I've already seen all of the anime I know what's going to happen.
I have to admit, I want to hurry up and finish reading the volumes the anime covers so I can read what happens next! Off to read volume 8~ :D

yeah... definitely a "wowza! scene hahahahaha
Another volume that will excite the Yuki/Kaname fans. Not my favorite volume because I feel like the story is really starting to drag. I just want to know what happened to Yuki. I'm tired of Kaname avoiding the question. I am very excited to see what happens with our new enemy, however.
So Kaname asks Yuuki to be his lover.
"You pompous! Stuckup! Snot-nosed! English! Giant..twerp! Scumbag! Fuckface..dickhead-asshole!"
I quoted that from "100 Greatest Insults of All Time" . I have no idea what movie that's from, but it sums up my feelings of Kaname.
And then the Night class follows Yuuki around. She tells them to stop and Aidou tells her to shut up and how she wouldn't understand since she's a silly human who doesn't even comprehend the pride a vampire noble has.

Volume 7 barely kept my interest, and I think it's beginning to really show how poorly constructed the plot is. I feel like we already have so many things going on in the story like the love triangle, Yuki's unknown past, Zero becoming a vampire, something about the vampire council and vampire politics... but the author keeps adding more and more twists without resolving anything. This is where Vampire Knight starts to go in a direction I would never have suspected. Up to this point I was expecting a fairly mundane love triangle and teen angst typical of a romance series. Instead... It's nice to be surprised.

I can start by saying that the part about the guy being in his son's body is boring. At least I find it boring. I don't really get it, I don't want it to be such a big part of it all.

Aaaah! The suspense! The action! Matsuri Hino is so brilliant. I so loved volume 7 and can't wait to start with 8.
I think it's easy for people to miss the strong flaws of this manga, due to the publication rates -- it's so much time between volumes coming out, that by the time you read the next one, you can't even tell when it contradicts or doesn't make sense when you take some of the previous ones into consideration.
However, reading them in a row has, unfortunately, shown me that for all its cool concept and nice characters and lovely art, storywise, VK pretty much, well, sucks. Plot holes, contradiction,...more
