A little bit different from the common romance book. The focus wasn't so much on one couple. There were 3, and an extra one thrown in there. Add in a crazy murderer guy, building a big hotel, half-sisters (one who doesn't know she's got a sister). Not a bad read. Less formula written than most of the romances. Still predictable.
allison is a photographer who has been asked to take pictures of hong kong and a hotel that is going up there by james, who wants to leave a monument in the city that he loves. allison has a very rare blood disease that has caused her to be thought of as frail by her family. maylene left hong kong a long time ago and this is her first time back. it's also the first time her designs are being used and she is the head architect. she butts heads with sam, the builder. secrets and intrigue
This is a book I thought I would really enjoy, but in the end I just felt really let down. Because the stories were split between several couples, the romances were thin and didn't have any backbone behind them at all. Why any of the characters became so in love with each other I don't know. Also, don't look for any eroticism in this book just in case that is what you are looking for, this is PG-13.
Beaucoup de souffrance, beaucoup d'amour et un panel de personnages très touchants... Katherine Stone est une auteur remarquable.

I deserve an award for making it to the end of this clap trap. An award or at least a good stiff drink.
Hong Kong.
Sisters, one a photographer, one an architect.
Love story with enough substance to be good.
Very plastic plot. Lacked a lot of drama. Somehow made it to the end.
I enjoyed the story, but it was not my favorite book by Katherine Stone.
Not my taste. Very wordy and proper like old school days.
Two sisters neither one knew the other existed, meet.
