This book tried to do in nonfiction what I'm trying to do in my work-in-progress YA fiction: capture the magical lure of the sixties in San Francisco. It doesn't quite do it for me. I'm finding out it's not that easy. It seems to be as illusive as the butterfly of love. Ha!
