The Seafarers

For much of the last two and a half thousand years, the history of western civilisation has been indelibly linked to the sea. Decent, high level background on the Caribbean aka Spanish Main. Good general history, great for a quick sketch of the first couple of centuries of European discovery and exploitation of this area.
