Mrs Burns Burns
Wonderful read - you become totally involved from the beginning trying to figure out 'who dunnit' and even though there is very helpful foreshadowing it still comes as a surprise at the end. Delightful romance too just to add to it. Well done Margaret for hitting on some of the most iconic symbols for New Zealand and writing a highly authentic novel. Of course this review is biased as I know the author personally but I am sure I would write the same with just my teacher hat on.

Margaret Blake was born in Manchester, England. She has written 20 novels, three of which will be published this year.

She writes historical and contemporary romance and currently has written two romantic suspense novels. The first of these is Breaking the Clouds published by Robert Hale Limited, in hardback, and the second A Poisoned Legacy was published in October. Shadows of the Past is her late
