Alexandra
Karen has set a new record for bad things happening to her in one day. 14 things. A few of them are: forgetting her favorite jeans at her mother's house, having a hard time getting her dad's cat out of a tree, and getting into a tiff with her big sister Kristy because Kristy let her win at checkers.

It's so odd to think that when we were kids, we let little things like those completely ruin our day.

I thought this book was sad, because everytime Karen tried to do something it made her day get worse. I liked the part when her step-mother gave her the idea of pretending to wake up and start a new day on the same day; it seemed to make the rest of her day go better.

I've been re-reading this series to get accurate ratings(don't make fun), and this book is better than I remember it being. Yes, Karen is a brat throughout the whole thing, as usual, but this time she has a little bit of an excuse. The things that happen wouldn't make an adult as upset, but she's only six, so of course she's going to be more effected by her TV show not being on, or missing the prize in the cereal box. The unusual thing about this book, though, was that Karen actually apologized...more

It's odd that this is the worst day, and not the one where she, y'know, BROKE HER ARM.
Kate
In which Karen still has a broken wrist from book #2 (wow, continuity!).

I enjoyed this book it showed how sometimes you can have a bad day but it can turn out as a good day.

What young girl did not love the Baby-Sitters Club and Karen, the Baby-Sitters Little Sister?

The BSC version of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. I think they may have even referenced it? I quite enjoyed this one. It's always fun when things go wrong! (Especially when they go wrong for Karen.)

I loved these books. I wanted to read Baby-Sitters Club because my sister did, but my mother wouldn't let me because they were too old for me. I only read a few of them though before I was old enough to move on to the Baby-Sitters Club.
