Kennedy's life is fascinating. He was very young when he went to kindergarten. Something I didn't know is that he was the youngest president ever elected. He was 43 years old. He fought for equality for all people. He caught scarlet fever when he was young and this caused him health problems for the rest of his life. Most people who caught the disease back then didn't survive but he did. The way he was asassinated was both tragic and mysterious. As we know today the Kennedy legacy lives on.

This photo-illustrated biography on JFK was a quick but informative read about one of our nation’s most memorable leaders. Each section has a large photograph across from a page of text describing that time in Kennedy's life, from childhood until death. A nice book for any parent or educator to share with their students when covering U.S. History.

I think many kids these days are unfamiliar with the Kennedy legacy. However, this book would be a great way to get them interested. I would use this book in the classroom when discussing the Civil Rights Movement and the Space Program.
