Wonderful story, wonderful fairytale. I think the story of the 12 dancing princesses is one of my all time favorite fairytales. This rendition was fresh and very creative with memorable characters and of course a fairytale ending!

Jessica Day George is supposed have some good books out, I just haven't gotten to any of them yet because they were more in the "juvenille" category vs. "young adult". This is a take of the story of the 12 Dancing Princesses. I think the cover is gorgeous, so I'm excited to see how the story rates in comparison. Release date is Jan 20, 2009.

The 12 Dancing Princesses is my favorite fairy tale so I always love a good retelling. I really liked Jessica's version. She didn't stray really from the original, she just beefed it up and gave it more depth. I really enjoyed it. Of course she added her own twist, but it was well written with likable and vulnerable characters.

I received an advance reader's copy of this from Jessica herself and I LOVED IT! It is based on the story of 12 Dancing Princesses and WOW! I loved Galen. He was everything I imagined him to be, however, I had a hard time remembering he was only 19 in the story.
I can't wait for it to come out in January!!!!!
