Heiress Lori Granger looks like a million bucks--and is famous for giving much of her fabulous fortune away. But her generosity has outstripped her checkbook, and not even her glamorous image and come-hither eyes can save her now. Certainly not with Jackson James in the picture...Hired by her dad's estate to control her spending, this CPA with linebacker shoulders and gray ...more

It was a gloomy day outside my window today. Rain, overcast, and cold (well, cold for the South anyway). Since I needed a bit of a pick me up, I picked up Leanne Banks newest contemporary, “Trouble in High Heels”, hoping for a love story with some humor to brighten my day. BINGO! Instant mood changer!

Lori is a young, beautiful, shapely heiress with a heart of gold. She grew up with her father who controlled her through love and guilt. Since his d

3.5 stars. Scatterbrained heroine meets smart CPA. Light, fluffy entertainment with a feel good ending.

Lori’s wealthy father Harlan never married her mother. Harlan had sole custody of Lori and raised her alone. Lori felt guilty for living a life of wealth. Harlan died six months ago. Since then Lori has been giving away large amounts of money to charities, some of them seeming frivolous, for example: instead of buying $10 teddy bears for firefighters to give to rescued children, her

Heiress Lori Granger looks like million bucks, doing her part as a Philanthropist and donating her money mostly to charity events but her checkbooks are in dire straits; in order to be able to use her inheritance, she would need to either cut her spending habit or get married till she's 30 to get full control of the inheritance.

Jackson James, a CPA working for a firm that has served Lori's father as a long-term customer finds himself in a position to handle Lori Granger finance account which is

When I picked up Trouble in High Heels, I had no idea what I was in for! Luckily, I found it pleasantly charming, though I was a bit surprised (see previous 'disclaimers' about how I do not really like chick lit/contemps) at first. But soon I was chuckling and smirking as I read the witty banter and story between Lori and Jackson.

Much like Jackson soon finds out after meeting Lori, she's not like your stereotypical 'blonde' heiress, spending daddy's money left and right on silly and frivolous t

Lori Granger is heiress to her late father’s multi-millions in riches. She spends the money on everything but the one thing she is most generous about spending her money on is charity events. Lori can’t help but donate lots and lots of money away. Maybe that is why before Lori’s father passed away, he set a stipulation on how much money Lori can spend.

Lori is visited by Jackson James. He is the CPA that her father’s estate hired to control Lori’s spending habits. Lori is outraged when she learn

A fun twist to the beautiful heiress has to find a husband to fullfill a will story. Leanne Banks comes through again with a funny, "can't put it down" romance. Each book is stand alone capable, but never loses a bit of fun between book one in the series and book 3.

I didn't realise until I'd finished this book and added it to my list on Goodreads that it was No. 3 in a trilogy. Proof, perhaps, that it can stand on its own merits.

Warm fluffy chick-lit that rose like a soufflé then sagged at the end. A handsome alpha-male accountant is sent in to try and restrain a pretty but vapid heiress from giving away more money than her inheritance allows.

No action, suspense or mystery, just a series of encounters and dialogues that afford glimpses into the characters

the writing in this book was atrocious! My husband was able to translate the phrase "she felt like she was going down on an up elevator" for me, but I doubt I will ever be able to forget the description of "turgid nipples". oh wow! the characters were okay. Lori Jean was kinda annoying, and Jackson was just standard issue romantic hero. I did read the whole way through, so it's not the worst I've read, but I won't read it again. :P

I liked this book a lot. It was not a favorite of the series, but was still pretty good, anyway. I liked how the hero got jealous, of other guys. I could not understand how she was afraid to tell her sisters what had happened to her.

This is an okay book. The story is predictable, but the characters are cute. Nothing magnificent here but a simple, easy to read story and if you like romance, a good one.

This was a quick read and quite steamy! Your basic love story that you could see coming a mile down the road. Very entertaining and graphic.
