emma donoghue's introduction is priceless. that said, not the best erotica i've ever read, but i still can't find the one book that i hold all others in comparison to.

This book is mostly sweet. I guess my biggest complaint is the one I have with almost all erotica, which is that most of the stories are too formulaic. I ask the impossible, I know. I am not really just talking about narrative structure, but the particular sex acts, or the drama of them. And I think tighter, more interesting backstories add that tension, but then I also hate all that clunky exposition. But most of them are hot enough.
