An eccentric widower builds a small, window-less chapel-type building in the center of a city, where people of all walks of life, and all manner of earthly trials can go to have conference within a room containing only a chair, a stage and a curtain. So, this is a Christian book my mom gave me a long time ago and didn't read until college. Even though it is Christian, it's an awesome book. It kind of gives a non-denominational perspective on people's lives with their Christian lives. Really easy read, not very long, and set back in the early 1900's.

This is a unique book of "confessional eavesdropping," in which each character sounds off at "God" and then comes to the realization that "He" is always there for them...in all situations. It really uplifted me and made me think a lot about my own level of gratitude and depth of prayer.

This book is excellent, and quite surprising in the end. It's all about a sort of temple some man made were everyone goes to tell their troubles to this supposed man in a room behind a curtain.

Great book on shutting up and listening! This book helped me see the importance of developing the skill yet I am far from achieving it! Very insightful and short read.

This was one of the first books my mom recommended to me, so my enjoyment might have been more sentimental than anything else, but it was an interesting concept.
