Even though this book was written for a young adult audience, I found it very informative and interesting in reviewing the issue of immigration in America up until the 1980's/1990's.

What it taught me is that many of the decisions that were made in the past about immigration and existing immigrants in America, were made by government out of fear and paranoia. The internment, for example, of the Japanese during World War II.
