Was in the mood for some gentle chick-lit, and love all things paranormal, so picked this up hoping to be suitably entertained. Unfortunately, after six attempts to read this book, could only make it to page 63, by which point I was so bored that my brain called a time out. I hate to leave books when I have started them, but just can't find the motivation to go on!

This book is not perfect but it makes a good attempt at it. The thing is, the love triangle is a bit confusing at times. Yes a girl can be in love with two people at the same time, but I felt Lily was a bit confused too. I don't know how to explain this, but at first I was happy that she was with Marten. Especially when she is upset by seeing Nathan at the restaurant, and she commands him to serve her. Not that he was complaining. But that foot massage part was pretty hot. And again when they go...more
This was a fun little book with cute affairs, tasty men, good descriptions of food, restaurants, fashion and the odd decent sex scene but not quite as good as the first one which I liked so much that I bought. For a start, it suffers from the all too frequent problem of the ‘supernatural quirk’ that is being used so often these days. Like the sparkly vampires who do not drink blood, the sexy vampires who can go out in the sun ect ect and Harper has fallen into the same trap.

This was a good novel, not fantastic, not horrible. It was relatively easy to read, but it jumped around slightly and didn't really go anywhere...
Overall, it just reminded me why I'm not a big fan of chic-lit. If this book didn't have the supernatural undertones, I wouldn't have read it.
But I say that you should read it. It was good, and hopefully the sequel will finish things off a bit more smoothly.

I liked this one as much as the first... the story isn't complete yet though... can it really be true that the third book may never be published?
On the other (cooler) hand, I get to meet the author today.

This book is easily read, has a rollicky good tale and is fun, much like the cover suggested. Not a literary giant, but delivered a great storyline, with some interesting characters, that I was happy to take to bed!
I read the first one, but each of hers takes me a while to warm up to the character. Never watched Sex in the City, but I think it's kind of like that, but you have 3000 years of shoe-shopping.

i thought this was the last one and im glad its not as i felt it hadn't all been wrapped up. need to read the next one!
The story starts right where is left off in the first one, with no re-intro to the characters which seemed strange. I like the way the story is going with the exception if WHY the 3000 year old demon is so heart confused? I don't think my idea of the character fits with where Harper is going, which seems to clash with who the character is. I guess we will see. Lastly, I think the book jumps a few times- leaving me wondering if I skipped a paragraph, or even a whole page.

I'm glad I didn't buy this. It's not bad but not good either.

Hell runs Windows. Who knew?
How did I get this book?
Love this series as well, I realize that doesn't count as a review but when I have more time I'm going to go back and do it
Didn't finish.annoying and not easy to read
not a patch on Georgina kincaid
once again Nina harper leaves me hanging. The plot still is not resolved after two books.
I liked the first one. And I was eagerly anticipating this one. But I have to say I was COMPLETELY disappointed. I couldn't get through it. After the first 200 pages, I began skimming the book waiting for something to happen.
It seemed Nina Harper was more concerned with name dropping than she was with building a plot.
It was a huge let down. If there is a book #3, I won't be reading it.

I didn't get into it as much as the first one, though it was still fun. I'm looking forward to the 3rd one. I'm just not sure about Marten, I guess we will see!
My time is too valuable to waste one more nano second reading this rubbish. Consigned to the bin.
I thoroughly enjoyed this second book. So much better than the first!!
