Emily is a bit too romantic for my taste, but it does work amazingly well as part of the plot. Although I get frustrated with her from time to time, it gives me insight into how she frustrates Simon. All in all, one of Jayne Ann Krentz's better Amanda Quicks, which I have re-read numerous times and will continue to re-read annually.

recommends it for:
Cheesie historical romance fans
Very cheesie, the heroinne crumbles too quickly and forgives too easily and for the most part, she is just not that bright. The sex scenes are steamy and believable though and the plot is actually very exciting with a few unexpected twists. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't really recommend it either.
