Nolan Byrd single-handedly saved his school from the bullydom of Alvin “Bubba” Bixby. He posted proof of Bubba’s exploits on the Web at Shredderman.com. Now Shredderman is the school hero! But since Shredderman’s identity is a secret, everyone still treats Nolan like . . . a nerd.

But inside this nerd beats a superhero’s heart—one dedicated to truth and justice. So when a v...more

Shredderman 2 attack of the tagger is a very good book it is about a boy named Nolan who is on a mission to find out who the tagger is. The tagger is a person who spraypaints dumb baby faces on random stupid places like inside a slide at a play ground. The main reason he wants to catch the tagger is because he spraypainted a dumb baby face over a mural of dolfins on his favorite teachers car. Nolan goes on many different exciting and clever journeys to find the tagger. At the end of the book nol...more

The second book I read for my boyfriend's son's Reading Olympics. This book is a big nothing, and I can't believe it's on a reading challenge list. I don't like the whole idea of the anonymous website - that's not a super hero to me - Shredderman is the super hero alter ego of Nolan Byrd, 5th grade nerd. Apparently, in the first book in the series (shouldn't that be the book on the Reading Olympics list - why would the organizer pick the second book of a series, and why this part picture book...more

How could you not like a pint-sized superhero whose dad is a newspaperman and who uses the Internet to expose bullies, vandals and obnoxious paparazzi?
Attack of the Tagger is a fun kids' series, with a very sympathetic main character - a young boy who's a nerdy school outcast by day, Shredderman by night - using the power of technology to post embarrassing, incriminating pictures and videos of villains. And the tie-in between the Shredderman series and Van Draanen's The Gecko and Sticky s...more

This is the sequal to the first one its not as good as the first its hard to read because it gets really boring and hard to stick with. This time a person is going all over cedar valley and taging anything in site the first victim is mr. green's hippie van. Nolan figures he can use the power of shredderman to find out who the tagger is.

The Shredderman is back with an even harder case to figure out. There is a terror in the town and it is a tagger tagging anything they can.The Shredderman is trying to find who it is and he goes though a lot to find the criminal.

This is a darling book especially for 8-12 year old boys. My son hates reading but actually doesn't mind reading this book (which says a heck of a lot). I'm excited to get the other books. I had no idea it was a series.
Sandy
I kind of love Shredderman. He's the epitome of truth and justice. What kid doesn't dream that their antagonists will finally get their just deserts in the forms of public humiliation and appropriate punishment?

I've read the whole series and out of all of them this one is at the bottom, but if you compare it with some random average book, this one is totally better.

Great book and series. Both books so far were great.

Nolan is a great everyday superhero, & his ability to bring down the bad kids with his smarts & know-how is very gratifying.

Such a fun read! My oldest three (10, 8,7) loved it and so did I. We read more pages and chapters than we planned every night we read because we couldn't wait to find out what Nolan would do next. His adventures to catch The Tagger were so fun and funny and creative. I really like this series. It holds my kids' attention so well and I enjoy it just as much as they do. We're starting the third book tomorrow night!

Shredderman gets to work finding a local graffiti artist who is vandalizing property around the town - including Nolan’s way-cool “Happy Hippy” teacher’s van! We get to see some of the behind-the-desks politics between the principal and said teacher (she doesn’t like him much).
Annie
Stayed up late laughing at adventures of Shredderman after 12+ hour workday. Mr. Green, the Happy Hippy AND sidekick to Shredderman, gets his van tagged. Parental units become involved when tagger hits the town. Does Shredderman's secret identity get revealed?
Tamsyn
2nd in the Shredderman series, about a boy who creates an undercover persona via the Internet and helps right wrongs and uncover mysteries in his school. Very popular series at an easy level for readers building their endurance in chapter books.
Julie
I ended the year reading this to my third grade class. We decided we liked this one even better than the first one. There are 2 more in the series...I'm anxious to read both of them. This is definitely a good series for reluctant readers!

DUH-UH!

Oh no! Someone's been going around Cedar Valley tagging purple happy faces on everything. Shredderman attempts to set up the vandal, only to find that the vandal claims it's Shredderman doing the tagging.
Cydney
This book was as funny as the first one.
