Janey's been isolated all her life, even sent away to school in California. Her abusive father and her sicko aunt have always kept her away from people and any potential friends, and even her protective older brother Natches, who often deflected any 'punishment' meant for Janey onto himself, has had trouble getting past their father's manipulative ways. Her crazy father Dayle was involved in some home grown terroristic schemes, trying to sell missles to terrorists for big money. Exposed as a traitor to his country, he was brought down (in the previous 'Nauti' book, Nauti Dreams) by Alex and his DHS (Department of Homeland Security) team. But now Janey's back in her small Kentucky hometown, ready to resume her life and getting to know her older brother and her cousins Rowdy and Dawg, while taking over her father's upscale restaurant. She's determined to make a life for herself, and to do all the things her nutso father and his sister prevented her from doing. And tops on her 'to do' list is hunky Alex Jansen (with his dark gray eyes and those biceps!). Alex is also the brother of Crista, her cousin Dawg's wife, and he's been on her radar since she was a teen, and her feelings for him only intensified when he saved her from her father and her crazy Aunt Nadine's sadistic torture and kidnapping. And by the looks he's been giving her, she knows he wants her too...

So, to make a long story short, the passion between Alex and Janey heats up, with lots of sexy promises about what he's going to 'do to her', and some 'almost there' moments that seem to always get interrupted by someone/something. Alex then finds out that Janey's been getting some threatening notes from someone who has it in for her, and that's when he realizes that he's back in town for more than just a fling with Janey. No way is he going to let something happen to 'his woman'--he's waited too long for her. They eventually do the deed (without any interruptions) and Janey goes from (almost) innocent virgin to sex kitten in a matter of days. Hey, when you have a teacher like Alex...

But there's a couple of flies in the ointment... because of events in his past, Alex doesn't 'do' love, and Janey wants it, she craves it, she needs it, and she won't settle for less--and most importantly, she deserves it. She won't settle for being just an obligation to someone she loves, either. Can she convince this stubborn alpha that what he feels for her is love, and that it won't kill him to admit it?

Also, who is this nut that's after Janey--and why? Why are they taking Dayle's misdeeds out on her? And can they stop this person from hurting Janey and anyone connected to her, or will she have to leave town to protect the people she's grown to love?

Well, anyone familiar with Lora Leigh's books won't be surprised to find out there's lots of bickering (between Alex and Natches, Alex and Janey, Janey and Natches, etc.) and sniping going on in this book, as well as lots of 'glaring'. I swear, L.L.'s characters have some of the meanest, nastiest temperments--someone is always 'pissed off', or 'pissing someone off'. I mean, enough already--can't they just get along?:) But also, being LL, there's lots of hot loving too. Lots. I mean so much so that I started to skim some of the scenes towards the end of the book (I hate doing that, but I was getting a wee bit bored). And some of the things that Alex said to Janey were just a bit dominant, arrogant and bossy ("you're mine", "I'm going to spank you", "I want more"), sometimes I couldn't blame her for being 'pissed' with him! But I suppose he made it up to her with all his wicked love making. Wow, those two really scorched some sheets!

The suspense part was pretty good, although LL doesn't give you many suspects who could be the stalker, so it's kind of a no-brainer to figure out who it could be. What I wanted to know was why?, and she answered that question to my satisfaction. There's quite a few wackos in the little town of Somerset.

Another thing I was confused about--why was there such hatred between Natches and Alex? Was it the whole age difference thing (23 vs. 37)? Was it the fact that Alex was a player and Natches was afraid of Janey being hurt? Or was it Natches just being Natches? Couldn't quite figure it out, but those two kept sniping at each other, and it got annoying. I figured Janey could do a whole lot worse than Alex.

The only other point I'd like to make is why in the world would an innocent Janey stay in a town that obviously unfairly blamed and included her in her father's trangressions. I realized that she wanted to be near her brother, but jeez, someone needed to tell these holier than thou hypocrites off. They blamed her yet patronized her restaurant? Didn't make much sense to me.

Other than that, it was a pretty good book, probably my favorite of the 'Nauti' series so far. I enjoyed seeing Alex fall under Janey's spell, and yes Alex, those confusing feelings that you've never felt before-what-could-it-be? Yeah, that's love. A typical Lora Leigh book--lots of sex that turns into love, and a bit of suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat. Fans of the series should love this one--4 1/2 stars.

I have always enjoyed Leigh’s erotica. Although my fav series of hers is the “Bound Hearts” series. Not the early novels published by Ellora’s Cave, but the last three by St. Martin’s Griffin. I have always felt these are her best erotic work.

But you know what? This last Nauti novel achieves the same high level of quality. No kidding. Hey, no one is more surprised by this than I am. I liked the third novel in this series best because Natches was always my fav of the three Nauti boys. Still those...more I have always enjoyed Leigh’s erotica. Plus, let’s face it. There were only three Nauti boys. Where do you go from there, ya know? Well, I forgot about Crista’s brother, Alex. All I can say is I’m soooo glad I bought this one instead of borrowing it, because it is definitely going on my Keeper Shelf. Really.

Alex has been in love with Janey, Natches’ little sister, for years. Only problem is she is 14 years younger. Not to mention Natches has always known of his lust for her and threatened to do dastardly things to his Alex’s dangly parts if he made a move on his virgin sister. But he did ask Alex to help him protect her while his abusive father, Dayle Mackay, was still alive.

Well, Dayle and his psycho sister are dead, and Janey is running dad’s restaurant as a co-partner with Natches. The problem is everyone in their small Kentucky town sees Natches as a hero because he killed his terrorist father and aunt. But they see Janey as soiled because she is the daughter of a terrorist. Go figure. Yeah, no one is very nice to her.

Alex gets out of the military with the sole purpose of claiming Janey. He’s tired of waiting, and he could care less about Natches’ threats against him. Actually, he feels the same way about his little sister Crista’s husband, Dawg. LOL

The fly in the ointment (of course) is someone in that town has decided to kill Janey and make her pay for her father’s sins. Typical Leigh plot. And let me warn you. It’s easy to figure out pretty quickly who it is.

However, what is not typical is Alex. What a sweet, gentle Uber he is with Janey! I just loved it. The way their relationship developed was perfect. And the sex is plentiful and hot. Like I said, this novel is the same high quality as the last three “Bound Hearts” novels IMO. Excellent!

I also liked the way the series is moving. There is a hint of future plot lines with Rogue, Zeke, and Timothy Cranston. The next novel in the series, “Nauti Deceptions,” comes out in 2010. Can’t wait!

Whoa! And I can’t forget that smokin’ hot cover. So many times with Leigh’s novels the cover looks nothing like the h/h. Well, this time they got it right, and Alex is gorgeous! From his handsome face to his yummy bod. A keeper-cover for sure!!

Thanks, Auntee, for convincing me to take a chance on this novel. I was ready to abandon this series. Now I’m hooked!

For the most part, I enjoyed this erotic-romantic suspense that is a continuation in the "Nauti series" (#4). It includes the characters from the earlier books and their wives, but in minor rolls--except for Natches. He plays a fairly large roll in this one and, unfortunately, his character got on my nerves. He was constantly arguing with his sister over her life and the restaurant. Constantly.

Very good continuation of the Nauti series. Janey is Natches younger sister. He is very protective. So when one of his team shows more than just casual interest, he is very upset. But Alex has been wanting Janey since she was 17 years old - now she is 23 years old and a woman with her own mind.

The Mackay clan has worked its way in to my heart from the get-go in Nauti Boy. With Janey's story each has found their own happily ever after and the major suspense thread throughout the novels found its conclusion in Nauti intentions. Or at least I'm suspecting this for you never know with Lora Leigh. Janey and Alex were never that much on my radar until the end of Nauti Dreams and with Nauti Intentions their story unraveled in heat, blossoming romance and colorful emotions.

Janey Mackay has never been allowed to spread her wings and now she is finally free to do as she pleases. She has an indomitable spirit, a combination varying from endearing and responsible, to a female force to be reckoned with. After all Janey had to go through I was delighted to see the change as she took charge of her own life. If Janey in one thing then I would say she is a woman I could easily relate to, she is passionate and embracing life while not everything is roses and daisies.

Alex Jansen is one of Somerset's favorite sons, a special force soldier who survived untold things in war time. He is strong, reliable but also fierce and passionate which is all wrapped up in a delectable package. Alex has leadership qualities, both in his job and as a man. Something that holds an appeal, especially when encountering a woman with a mind of her own. Alex is impressive, bold and cunning, he is very much a man after my own heart and countered by Janey they ignited together!

In Nauti Intentions the relationship development is the eye catchers of this book. Not only is the attraction between Janey and Alex scorching it is mouth watering at the same time. They feel strings attached to each other created through several events in the past. It holds bittersweet moments combined with clashing opinions and some extremely hot bed scenes. I was completely emerged in their story while the suspense came second place for me this time.

In extension of above comment I have one issue with Nauti Intentions and that is that some things were becoming repetitive plot wise, not as to the whodunit factor but it was obvious from which direction it was going to come from. It took something away on the suspense factor for me, allowing it to become second place. I am hoping that with the future release of Nauti Deceptions a fresh start is initiated regarding the plot. It felt somewhat overused but I also understood that it had to come full circle with Janey. It was the emotional growth of Janey and Alex that fueled the story and made it such a delectable read.

If there is one secondary character that had me at hello it was Rogue Walker, she is just a no nonsense kind of woman who will grab a bull by the horns and do it with flair and a dazzling smile. A leather clad bicker chick who has a mysterious past and definitely has some scars on her heart. How and who gave them is shrouded in mystery but I'm hoping Ms. Leigh will let us find out one day!

Of course all the Mackay cousins are there and the marital bliss pours from the pages. Natches in particularly is endearing in his angst but also is the typical big brother to Janey that gives some funny moments throughout the novel. The Mackay family honors the saying; `One for all and all for one' because when danger arises once more everybody is on high-edge to get the perpetrator apprehended...Mackay style.

The erotica factor is imbedded in Nauti Intentions as recurrent readers of Lora Leigh novels have come accustomed to. It is intensely hot, it accelerates the emotional impact of the story and contains various positions. I would definitely recommend this series if you want to try out light erotica or scorching romance. It doesn't contain multiple partners, out of the ordinary toys or dom/sub. Just one on one erotically charged scenes that spice up the Nauti tales from start to finish.

Janey and Alex have captured me with their beautiful and truly heartfelt romance from the moments they met each other again in this book. With the ending of Nauti Intentions the original clan has met and concurred their happily ever after and they gave me an amazing ride. Kudos to Lora Leigh and her Nauti boys!

PS: I just hit the www highway and found out that Nauti Deceptions is about Rogue Walker and Zeke Mayes. This news just made my day!

Janey Mackay has issues...lots of them because of her childhood. Her father had an incestuous relationship with his sister for decades and he allowed his twisted sister to sexually abuse Janey while he stood by and watched. Very sick demented family here. So Janey has issues. She's also had a huge crush on Alex Jansen since she was a teenager. Alex is fourteen years older than her and he's had a hardon for her since she was seventeen. For six years he stays away from her, giving her time to grow up and mature and then he comes back just in time to save her life and killer her twisted fathers lover and sister. After that he gives her a few months to get back on her feet and then he's in hot pursuit of her and will not take no for an answer. Janey wants him, but Alex isn't capable of loving anyone. (This bugged me, because there was no reason for him being unable to love. As a matter of fact if either of these characters should have love issues it should have been Janey because of her childhood.) Alex wants Janey body and soul and in return he promises her everything but his heart. That's not good enough for Janey, she spent a lifetime without love and she refuses to give up the hope of one day finding someone who will truly love her.

The love factor doesn't stop these two from having hot raunchy sex several times a day every single day. It's a wonder she could walk to tell you the truth. But while all this hot sex is going on, and Alex is struggling to figure out just what the hell love is, someone is stalking Janey and they want her gone from town or dead. Alex moves in to protect her and more raunchy sex ensues but this time someone has put a camera in the bedroom and has photographed Alex's dick up Janey's ass. The stalker then sends a close up photo of a dick stuck in an ass to Natches, Janey's brother, and disturbingly enough, Natches takes one look at (and I quote page 233) "a curved feminine rear spread apart, pink and pretty, and filled with a thick, engorged cock."- and instantly recognizes his sisters ass and Alex's dick stuffed up it. Disturbing? Yay.

So now the graphic and embarrassing photos are passed on to the police (oh yeah! Just what every woman wants, photos of her ass being fucked in a police report! And her family and friends see these photos not to mention they are all friends with the cops investigating this.) and the hunt for the stalker continues while Janey and Alex try to stumble along in their relationship and Janey tries to keep her restaurant running despite vicious verbal attacks and having a homemade bomb tossed in her apartment window. Alex's plan to keep Janey is to impregnate her whether she wants to be pregnant or not, so he refuses to use a condom and has sex with her every which way he can think up and as often as he can get her. Janey doesn't put up much fight, but she will not let a pregnancy keep her tied to a man that doesn't love her.

This bugged me, first in the apparent use of a potential child - I don't like that even in a fiction story. Secondly, Alex was a little too much for me. He was blinded by possessing her; her wants and needs didn't seem to matter as long as Alex got his way because he was sure he knew best. He was a control freak and I felt bad for Janey because she never seemed to have control of her life. From her abusive childhood, to what was done to her as an adult by her father and his sicko lover sister to her ending up with Alex. Just when she was starting out a little bit on her own she had her brother Natches and Alex bossing her around and trying to control her.

Aside from not really being an Alex fan, the story was good in Lora Leigh fashion - sexy Alpha males, hot sex and crazy lunatics.
I rate this book 3 stars for a good erotic read. If you're looking for hot steamy sex scenes you will not be disappointed in this book.

Now the only thing for Janey and Alex to do is convince her overprotected brother and cousins that they belong together. At last but not least exposing the stalker who threatens her life.

Nauti Intentions by Lora Leigh is the fourth novel in her Nauti Series and I have to say its one of the best books so far in the series. The novel contains a high lever of fabulous erotica scenes, strong family bond and the determination of love between two people.

Alex and Janey know each other for quite some time. Janey grew up in an abusive home, where she knew her brother Natches were taking all abusive by her father to save her. Natches send her away, so she was save and finish school, but what she didn’t know was that Alex always kept watch over her, when she was living out of town. Now she is in danger again and the only thing for Alex to do is move in with her and protect her with his life.

I have to say there were a few hilarious scenes between the MacKay cousins or between Janey and her brother Natches that brought a smile to my face. You could sense the close family bond of the MacKay. Lora Leigh has a certain way to lure you into a novel and won’t let you go until you finish the book. Well she did that with me in each and every book in this series, but especially with this novel. I loved the struggle between Janey and Alex, she wanted to get away so her family and Alex were save from the stalker and he wanted to do anything in his power to keep her with him and protect her. Also the struggle between brother and sister, the way Janey wanted to let Natches see that she was all grown up and loved him. And with the help of Alex she finally managed to open Natches’s eyes and built the relationship she so desperately wanted.

I cannot wait to read more books in the Nauti Series.

Holy smoking smexxy red hot spontaneous combusting Kindle melting... Wow! Best book yet in the series. I started it at 10pm and finished it this morning. Oops! not much sleep! It was that good.

There are enough reviews on here to get the gist of the story. Leigh got the chemistry down on this pair. Alex and Janie burn up the pages during this erotic romantic thriller. Look forward to lots of sex. Graphic. A variety of variations, in different places, including up against the wall.

Nauti Intentions is the 4th book in the Nauti Boy series. I’ve read the previous three, so it was no surprise when I picked this one up and devoured it. I’m a huge Lora Leigh fan and am amazed at her ability to write so many different series (The Breed Series, Tempting Seals Series, Elite Ops Series, etc.) In all of Miss Leigh’s books you are guaranteed three things.
1. An extremely testosterone driven alpha male with a capital A.
2. Some serious sexual and emotional tension between the hero and h...more Nauti Intentions is the 4th book in the Nauti Boy series. I’ve read the previous three, so it was no surprise when I picked this one up and devoured it. I’m a huge Lora Leigh fan and am amazed at her ability to write so many different series (The Breed Series, Tempting Seals Series, Elite Ops Series, etc.) In all of Miss Leigh’s books you are guaranteed three things.
1. An extremely testosterone driven alpha male with a capital A.
2. Some serious sexual and emotional tension between the hero and heroine.
3. Lots and lots of action and suspense.
4. Oh, and one more thing, a well written story that keeps you turning the pages.

I must admit that there are many times when a very small part of my brain thinks, Marisa, “what up?” You are so not the kind of woman who gets into all this testosterone laden, bullets flying, ‘I am man you are woman’ kind of thing. But guess what? It seems I am. And the reason I am is because Lora sells it, and I buy it. She sells it by making sure her heroines are not the kind of women who run away from the ax murder in high heels screaming at the top of their lungs and falling down in a dark alley as their high heels break before the ax swings upon their lovely necks. That is to say, her heroines are the kind of women who say ‘I am woman, you are man’. Miss Leigh also has the ability to pull you in so you want more and you race to the end to find out not only who is behind whatever mystery needs to be solved but how two very strong protagonists will find a way to be together.

Miss Leigh always seems to stack the deck against her heroes and heroines and Nauti Intentions is no exception. The book opens with Janey MacKay (sister of Natches from Nauti Dreams) being drugged and held against her will by her father (a terrorist) and her aunt (a very twisted woman). She is rescued by her brother Natches and his friend Major Alex Jansen. Alex has wanted Janey since she was 17 – but being fourteen years older than Janey and a man of honor – he stays in the shadows and hovers sticking to the directive he has been given by his friend Natches – “watch over my sister, take care of her”.

After being rescued Janey continues to live in her home town and run her family’s restaurant despite the fact that she is shunned and gossiped about due to her father’s terrorist activities. If that wasn’t enough, she’s being stalked. Yes, Miss Leigh gives her heroines many obstacles to overcome. And with the sexual tension and lust flying between her and Alex, and Alex continuing to be a man of honor and keeping his distance, she ratchets up the tension just a few degrees more. Alex certainly wants Janey, but her youth is a deterrent, it keeps him at bay. Janey wants Alex and is frustrated by his ‘code of honor’. I love that very clear and simple time tested dynamic between the hero and heroine. No fuss, no muss. I want you but I can’t have you. Skilled authors like Ms. Leigh make this clean through line of tension come alive when the hero or heroine is a person in danger. With Janey being stalked Alex is not going to stay too far away from the woman he loves and will do everything in his power to protect her. This is where one sighs and says ‘now you’re talking’. And in that intense heightened sense of danger Janey and Alex find each other, they dance the dance. It’s quick, sharp, passionate and powerful.

Nauti Intentions is a great addition to the Nauti Boys series, with many of the characters from the other books making an appearance (which I always enjoy). I’m looking forward to more books about this family and their friends, more alpha males with a capital A, more suspense, and more romance.(less)

I really wanted to like this book as it has elements I enjoy in a book like an alpha hero, and strong family relationships. Unfortunately due to characteristics of LL's writing, I didn't "feel" these elements in the book, even though they were there. There was so much grunting, glaring, threatening, and yelling, and that was just among the people who "love" each other!

Jeeze this guy acted like his male parts should be in the museum of natural history or something. Way overboard with his ideal of using his "male assets" to keep a woman in line.

The saving grace was Janey. She gave as good as she got and didn't back down in a room full of MacKay men and that 21st centtury male chavanist pig jerk Alex.

I hope the next book in the series Nauti Deceptions is more like book 2 (Dawg MacKay's story). I'd like to see more action ilo the author telling us about how "Bad" the MacKay's are. Every other paragraph was "The MacKay's are gonna kick your ass". Well for goodness sake show it and quit having everyone in the town running around talking about it.

The absolute worse part of the book was the lack of the bad guy throughout. But I kind of get why she did it. It just was so unexpected -- no real build up or a guessing game for me the reader. The book read like a romance and then turned into a romantic thriller / suspense. That is not good in my opinion.

There were some really good "soap opera scenes" which I love. I think most people's biggest fear is to have pictures of them in compromising positions taken and said pictures ending up in the hands of certain people like ... ooh let me think ... Your Brother! I was so embarrashed for Janie and I just knew her brother Natches was going to go totally postal on Alex. But then IMO the author dropped the ball because; Natches should have beat the crap out of Alex, but I contribute Natches lack of violence to the shock factor that seized him from the very beginning when dealing with his baby sister's relationship with the 10 year older and more experienced Aled. Had I been Janey I would have left town! Thus the reason I loved Janey 'cause she had that bad girl attitude and self assurance even though internally she was freaked. I love the "I'm cool" exterior of a heroine coupled with the soft fragil thing happening on the inside.

My anticipation for this book was skyhigh because Lora Leigh is a favorite of mine (excluding her Navy Seals series) and in the end I wasn't disapointed. Had I disliked both the hero and heroine I would have been sorely ticked, but Janey was a heroine I could get on board with. Alex ... ah Alex just sucked (no pun intended).

The book has the normal Lora Leigh angst her heroes are stapled to and I swear if I had the time I'd love to count how many times her heroes laments his "need". Jeez, I thought the Carpathians were married to that word but they have nothing -- absolutely nothing on Lora Leigh's Nauti Boys, Men of August, and The Club. Morning noon and night those poor guys are lamenting their friggin "need" and expel so much energy fighting it. I wanted to just slap Alex upside the head and yell "Dummy the girl wants you! Stop being her Daddy! for God's sake." On the flip side, the men in Lora Leigh's breed series has no such qualms (like the Carpathians), they go for it and do not think it to death.

But then, everything I hate about her books are the very reason I buy them. There's no just reading a Lora Leigh book there is absolute feeling involved be it sideline cheering (Dawg and Natches story), or downright hate (hello Alex and Rowdy of Nauti Boy 1 fame). Long after Natches (Nauti Book 3)is forgotten, Alex will still be in my mind flexing his friggin muscles, ticking me off and right beside him will be Janey laughing "...jealous much?" And if I were honest I'd have to hold my head down in shame and say "Yes."

So, I sit here in anticipation of the year 2010 and the next book in the series Nauti Deception. Guess I'll go set my alarm for New Release Tuesday, 2010.

I think this is the best "Nauti" book yet. I really like Alex. He is a hard-boiled soldier but with a tender heart when it comes to his friends and Janey (his friends little sister). Alex is 14 years older than Janey but she's wanted him since she was 17 and believe me the feeling was mutual except he felt like a pervert because of the age difference. But now that she's 23, all bets are off. The scorching hot sex scenes actually made me blush. WOW.

I think I agree with a lot of other reviewers that this is probably the best in the series so far. I liked the story overall...the romance, the characters, the story, etc. All in all, a very engaging story.

Oh yumm - another entry in the Nauti series with the usual suspense, action, hot sex and likable characters found in LL's books. All the past heroes/heroines have bit parts [the Nauti series is definitely a family affair:] with a few of the other players showing back up as well. Mark & Tyrell [two of my favorite non-player characters:] are there along with Timothy the rabid leprechaun from Homeland Security. I enjoyed it.

My favorite of the Nauti-books, because everything was just right...enough roughness, enough tenderness, very good dirty talk, the sex scenes well written and HAWT, no menage in sight, and the emotional turmoil between hero and heroine touched me very much. The heroine was damaged, but strong, and I just liked her a lot, which is nice- because I often like the hero and don't care that much for the heroine. The book had everything, perfect read, nothing to complain.

OMG how hot is this book. Alex and Janey are a hot couple and the threat to Janey is believable if you have followed the Mackey story in the other books. Who turns out to be the threat is a surprise and is well thought out and executed. I have to admit I love Lora Leigh books and this is as sizzling as her others including her breeds series.
