This was pretty good, but a little confusing. Basically, it’s a soap opera in novel form. And, like most soap operas, it can sometimes be hard to keep track of who everyone is and how they’re related to each other. And I hate referring to guides or glossaries — I’m not going to keep flipping back and forth to see who such-and-such is. So, I just wing it. I guess I didn’t get confused *too* much. Not so much that I won’t read the other books in the series. It was entertaining! Lord kn...more

In this fourth book in the seriesPeggy and Bob Beldon, owners of the Thyme & Tide B&B, are still recovering from the shock of discovering Bob's war buddy, Max Russell, murdered in one of their rooms. Bob suspects that Max's death has something to do with a horrible experience in Vietnam and now finds himself looking over his shoulder, fearing for his own safety. More unsettling is Max's fragile daughter, who shows up on a stormy night seeking shelter and answers.

I do love this series but this was my least favorite so far. Don't know if I have read them to close together or if this one just didn't give me as much as the others. This time everyone kind of lived happily ever after. The premise for the next book is these mysterious messages, but there have only been a few so far and it wasn't the same kind of cliffhanger as the other have been. But, I still liked it and plan to read the next in the series.

Continuation of Cedar Cove series. The rest of this is a spoiler unless you have already finished the book. The case of Max Russell's mysterious death is solved, but Roy McAfee already has another mystery to solve that is a little more personal. Cliff has decided to give Grace another chance. Charlotte and Ben tie the knot.

I enjoy this series the books are a relaxing read. I did think this was the weakest one so far, but I going to keep reading the series.

I enjoy this series as a relaxing read. Like stopping in with some old friends. Not intellectually challenging.
