6 Rainier Drive is the sixth full-length novel in the Cedar Cove series by Debbie Macomber. Once again, we join Olivia, Grace, Charlotte and all our favourite characters in Cedar Cove to learn what’s happening in their lives: Seth and Justine Gundersen discover what it takes to come to terms with the destruction of their restaurant, The Lighthouse, by fire; Allison Cox finds her faith in her boyfriend, Anson Butler’s innocence of fire setting is tested; Linnette McAfee begins to doubt Cal Wash More...

Can I just say I hated this from the first? It immediately strikes a note of strained melodrama. The book is set in small town Cedar Cove, Washington and starts after a restaurant, The Lighthouse, owned by the Gundersons is burned down. We learn that Justine Gunderson is still traumatized by her brother literally dying in her arms. The restaurant's chef Jon spent time in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Can we say soap opera?

Anson, Allison's boyfriend, is suspected of setting the More...

6 Rainier Drive has us in Justine and Seths house. You find out who burned down the Lighthouse resturant. In my opinion it came out of the blue but you can understand why they did it. Linnettte and Cal have hit a road block while Cal is working to save wild mustangs. Rachel meets Nates family and she can tell that they do not like her and that she doesn't fit into their world. The George Washington is being transfered to San Diego so every navy personal is being transferred. Teri from Get More...

I'm not normally a big Debbie Macomber fan-most of the stories are pretty schmaltzy but this one was pretty good. A lot of characters to keep track of-who's married to who and we have Grandmothers, daughters and granddaughters. It's about the mysterious arson of a popular restaurant, a little bit of a mystery, romance type story. Thankfully there is a cast of characters at the beginning to help you keep track of everyone.

It was long, maybe could have been shorter although this is th More...

This is not usually my type of book. I usually like more "graphic" romances, but I started reading the series, and now I have fallen in love with some of the characters, so of course, I now, can't stop reading the series. So, out of the last three books which have had a big mystery in them, this was the first one I was surprised at the ending.... did not expect that, but now it makes sense. One thing I really did not like about this book, is because I listen to them via audio it suc More...

Justine and Seth Gunderson, along with their son Leif, live at 6 Rainier Drive in Cedar Cove. Their livelihood, The Lighthouse restaurant, burned to the ground. Arson suspected. A young ex-employee is the main suspect, Anson Butler. Anson had disappeared following the fire and that didn't help him any in the investigation. It made just that more a person of interest in the case. You will be surprised to find out who actually did start the fire and why.

Life is going on for the More...

In this book there are too many characters leaving me with the feeling I was in a soap opera. It wasn't that the stories weren't great it just jumped around more to my liking. I didn't know this was a series so some of the stories I was catching up to. A feel good book with an ending that will leave you bothered because it's a soap opera it keeps going even after it ends but maybe you are into that:)

Intent on finishing this series. So, with that said, book was enjoyable. Left me wanting more. A couple of surprises, and only one VERY predictable outcome. I do hate when you start knowing what's going to happen next, but it comes with getting to "know" an author; especially in a series. But the characters are interesting, varied and complex people. This series is becoming like a good friend, reliable, even if there's one thing that really bugs you. :)

I really like these books, but I wish the author would spend a little less time reminding us of past events from previous books. I realize she does this so people who start in the middle of the series aren't lost, but I'd rather she just assume we'd read the previous books. For those of us who have read the previous books it gets redundant.

I have enjoyed all of these books. Can't read them one right after the other because they are so simmilar, but everyrime I come back to one of them, I feel like I am reuiniting with old friends! I was actually surprised by who set the fire. I also enjoyed Teri in this book and am excited for book 7.

I suppose I am getting familiar with Macomber's switching back and forth between entire families' comings and goings in Cedar Cove, Washington. This book had new romances and there were surprises in the storyline. The women are asserting themselves and the men are eating humble pie.

This is the next Cedar Cove installment and I do enjoy sequels and series. This was a fun read, to peak insides the lives of the people that live in Cedar Cove, Washington. It did have a bit of a mystery twist that I did not see coming, so that was fun.

Hated the book - it was even worse than the earlier ones in the series. I hate how everyone's history has to be written and most of the earlier chapters are taken up with that. I just cnanot like any of the characters in here.

Seth and Justine are trying to decide what to do in the aftermath of the fire that destroyed their restaurant the Lighthouse. OK. Read in the aftermath of Hurricane Gustav when we were without electricity for a week.

There are too many characters in this story. The characters were great---it just jumped from story to story more than I would have preferred. I didn't realize this was a series when I started, but I liked it.

same thoughts as the "50 Harbor Street" book, they are part of a series so the characters all intermingle but each book focuses on someone different. You don't have to read one to understand the other though.

There were too many people in this book to keep track of. Some of the characters I really cared about and others I didn't. I found myself skipping parts and just reading what I was interested in.

I got a bunch of books from my grandma, almost all by her. I am making my way through them. They are easy reads, and good stories, if you want something fluff her books would be it.

May have to let this series go. After six books it's starting to feel more like a soap opera than a novel. Too many story lines and now sub-characters are taking the headline. Let's wrap it up!

I love Debbie Macomber and have read all of the books in the Cedar Cove Series. However, I only have this one left. The rest were sent out to BookMooch members who requested them.

I love visiting Cedar Cove. There were lots of shake ups in this book. I totally picked the wrong character for the arsonist. I thought for sure I had it right, and was totally surprised by the reveal.

I enjoyed this book. I think I would have probably enjoyed it more if I had read the others in the series first (I tend to do that on accident).

Very comfortable book. I enjoyed it a lot. There were a lot of loose ends at the finale, which is common for series book.

I continue to like this series and look forward to each subsequent book. This one had one character that was a bit stranger than the usual characters and tending towards unbelievability in Bobby, the internationally renowned chess player. It was still fun, though.
