This is the 7th in a series with 2 more for sure being planned for this sleepy little town in Washington.

If you haven't read the first 6, do it before reading this one because the storylines continue and while you can read it without having read the others, you understand what is going on and know the characters a bit better.

There is a lot of back and forth between the town citizens and chapters are focused on one couple/person or another. It can be a bit confusing but the stories are ...more

A co-worker gave me this book to read with some others. Is is the first one that I've read in this series. I would compare this to a soap opera where the story line jumps around from one family to the next, and it takes a long time before something actually happens. The part I didn't care for was about the young women that moved to Buffalo valley. It just didn't fit in with anything else in this book. That may be due to the fact that this is just one book in a series, or that I just didn't c...more

I always enjoy the Cedar Cover Series by Ms. Macomber...they are an easy enjoyable read...you don't necessarily have to start at book number 1 to enjoy the book, but I would recommed starting at 1 if you think you are going to read them. This was just the easy read that I needed after all the Harry Potter books (all 7 in a row) followed by His Dark Materials Trilogy.

Another Cedar Cove novel, written in Debbie Macomber's usual form. I am a fan of the series, so I loved the book. There are a few surprises in this one and it's going to be a long wait until August 2008 for 8 Sandpiper Way and Debbie's contract goes through sequel 9, so we have at least two more years to enjoy Cedar Cove and all of the residents we have become close to.

I really enjoy this series of books. She has a good sense of character and is able to write about her large and ever-growing cast with a good balance. It really feels like small-town life with the inter-connectedness of the people's lives. There is also a good deal of humor to balance the tragedy and mundaneness of real life.

Although not a big fan of the romance genre I do still read this Debbie Macomber series because I have read them since the first one. Although they are rather corny and formulaic they are a good, quick read for a lazy Sunday afternoon and a cup of tea. I enjoy them and the characters you get to know throughout the series.

This is the 7th book in the Cedar Cove series. I picked up the first book and loved it. I didn't realize it was part of a series at the time and was thrilled to find the additional books. Now I'm hooked on the characters and their on-going lives in the small town of Cedar Cove, WA.

I just discovered this series early this year and read through all of the books within a couple months. It's going to be a long year until the next book comes out. Highly recommended for anyone with a sense of curiosity about other people's lives or a romance buff.

I've been reading the whole series and I hate the fact that I have to wait a whole year before the next book comes out. That's not a negative about the book content, it just means that you want to keep reading to find out what happens next.

Seventh book in the Cedar Cove series and I can hardly wait for the next one. She writes about people and they are like old friends. Waiting to see what happens next in their lives is like visiting with the neighbor you love to talk to.

Reading Debbie Macomber is like watching a soap opera that you used to watch years ago. It is comforting, you know all the characters and life doesn't throw too many surprises at you. I enjoy her Cedar Cove series. It is an easy read.

Really fun and great way to start the series if you haven't read the others. Macomber was able to catch you up and move the story along at the same time. If I could I would give it 3 1/2 since it isn't a four and that is why I gave it a three.

This book has too many characters, it makes me feel that i am reading "soap operdas". Ugh.. It's ok... a bit boring for my taste.. just simple and aww. Not big deal, and I am not rooting for people to read this book.

I may have rated this higher if I had realized this was book 7 in a series. As it was, I wasn't invested in any of the characters, and I found it to be a soap opera read like Cass's review.

I got a third through this book and had no idea what was going on. There were way too many characters and no plot. I had to stop reading it because it was driving me crazy.

I like this series but read all the others pretty much in a row so it was like reading a really long book. This one is dragging on, but characters are still entertaining.

It's an almost too perfect life in Cedar Cove and sometimes too close to sappy but I sure do like this series. It's fun to sneak a peek into other families.

This is the latest in the "Cove" books. Stories of life in a small town, with a few twists, sometimes a little unbelievable, but I like the characters.
