The 1st story, Something Wild, was good but a bit scary. I mean, Jacob acted like a stalker most (if not all) of the time and I thought Annie should've been more careful around him. Good thing she fell in love with him, because she wouldn't have been able to get rid of him otherwise.

The 2nd story, Meltdown, was really good. It had the markings to push me the wrong way - the insta-f*cking and the insta-HEA (Mac and Jane were "in love" less than 12 hours after first meeting each other and were eng

Something Wild:
Annie Simon has just left her abusive boyfriend. She had enough one day and grabbed what she could and ran. Along the way to the Black Cat Casino, where she's hoping to make enough to fund another future, she makes a meandering trail through the various parks and scenic trails along the East Coast. Also along the way she picked up a fan. An obsessed fan, who keeps cruising along her wake on a gorgeous Harley. Jacob Kerr has been following Annie, just trying to get her to talk to

I re-read this hottie every year (or more often!)
Wow...I just read some of the other reviews and range from 1 star to 5 stars...why the huge gap???

I love Shannon McKenna. I love her men...the larger than life, stalkerific, uber-macho alpha male is just not something I have ever experienced in real life. Seriously, who wouldn't want their fantasy man to be so taken with them that he follows her over state lines and only seeks to give her multiple O's!

The passion and sheer will of force are what m

Ok I found this story to be scary. First the guy stalks her through 5 states. Ok I can see that possibly kinda. Same thing as National Lampoons vacation movie, right? Second, chick knows this guy is following her and she still camps BY HERSELF at night in campgrounds and National parks. Third, after running away from her abusive ex she lets the Strange guy who is following her sleep with her and then let's him treat her very closely to what her ex did. Fourth, her inner monologu

For an anthology, this was an excellent read, especially if you like Shannon McKenna's stuff. Lots of hot, angry sex, but the tender moments made the stories very meaty. The only downside was that the characters were all very similar: women with self-confidence issues with love/hate feelings about their masterful, needy, overprotective men. Typical McKenna, but I just love her writing style. The second story was my favorite - I adored the way the HEA came about.
3 of McKenna's super short stories from other anthos- all stamped with her trypical ultra steam factor and uber alpha males. The first two were my favs the last? meh.

If you're looking for quick super charged sexy reads- this be it.

Something Wild
Jacob Kerr is an architect who is burnt out. He takes a leave from the job and goes on a vacation across the country to no place in particular. Annie Simon is camping and going across country making her way to the Black Cat Casino where she won $2000, a year ago. She is hoping that if she goes back, the luck will come back. Jacob keeps passing her on his motorcycle, and before you know it. They are doing the dirty. But Jacob is overbearing and little miss Annie doesn't kno
This book contains three short stories by Shannon McKenna:
1. Something Wild
2. Meltdown
3. Touch Me

I normally wouldn't be $4 for three novellas but I like Shannon McKenna and thought the stories would be pretty HOT! It was hard for me to resist the description so I one-clicked =)

A powerful man on a motorcycle makes a tantalizing promise...and a willing woman learns the ultimate lesson in pleasure. A masterful hotel CEO introduces his lovely date to a suite seduction she'll never forget. And a sex
I have to admit that Shannon McKenna stories are, like, total catnip for my brain. I love her books like whoa even though her dudely protagonists are the same, her lady protagonists are the same, her villains are all Super Crazy with a side of brain control, and generally speaking, all of the POC characters exist as either cannon fodder or as Crazy Villains. I don't know what it is about her particular brand, but clearly it's one I'm buying.

Holy cow! This was an awesome book- 3 blazing hot, "wear your oven mits when reading" worthy novellas, all in one book.

This hits all the right notes for this romantic erotica fan.

Each story has its similarities: Über hot rich alpha male knocked on his butt by the female romantic interest. Each of these women have been through the ringer from previous relationships and are getting on their feet, independently, trying to build a life and get themselves back in the process. All 3 stories take plac
I thought all three stories were good, very intense as the male characters are very dominant in their general character and really push the women to their limits. All three women were overcoming a bad relationship in the past and and suffered personally from that so the male characters really pushed them to risk their hearts and fall in love with them. I think the male characters were a bit over powering in some parts and I just thought they were dickheads!!! The sex scenes were explosive and in ...more

All right - I tend to avoid short stories, especially in romances. I feel that you need more time to create the relationship. My problem with these stories was that they were the pretty much the same story just with different names and locations. Almost the EXACT same things happened in the SAME order in each of the three stories. It got boring by the last one.

I love the sex scenes in this one. Hot and Steamy. 3 different books in one. Of the 3, only the last one was really worth reading if you wanted somewhat of a story line. I would read again though.
