After going through the incredible Soane Museum in London, I had to pick up this book for auxiliary information. An informative peek into upper middle class family life in 18th century London, complete with copies of original handwritten bills (2 lbs Gloucester Salmon, 7 shillings from Charles Norton, fishmonger, March 2, 1818) and portraits.
This is a very nice view of domestic life in London in the late 18th and early 19th century.
