در این کتاب از وجود پول و خرید فروش املاک و پول درصدی همچنین مهمانخانه و بار و از همه مهمتر از چگونگی ارتش و نحوه سربازگیری از قول سینوهه یاد میشود
سینوهه یک بار سفر به حبشه ( اتیوپی) داشت این سفر همراهی با فرماندهان ارتش بود و برای معالجه به حبشه...less

این کتاب را نباید بصورت یک داستان خواند
گرچه واقیع آن بسیار جالب و شگفت انگیز است اما مهم تر از ان حقایقی در ان نهفته است که میتواند بینش شما را نسبت له جهان هستی دگرگون کند.

The novel The Egyptian was written back in 1949 by the well known author Mika Walteri. The book is about a physician back in ancient Egypt who travels the world trying to gain knowledge for his profession. During his journey, he meets many people, learns many life lessons, and gets to see other countries of the world.
First, I did feel that the novel had some weaknesses. At some points in the book it was a little bit hard to follow because of the way things were done in ancient times. The book is about a physician back in ancient Egypt who travels the world trying to gain knowledge for his profession. During his journey, he meets many people, learns many life lessons, and gets to see other countries of the world.
First, I did feel that the novel had some weaknesses. At some points in the book it was a little bit hard to follow because of the way things were done in ancient times. Since, you as reader did not live in this time period it really did not make sense at some points over the course of the book. Furthermore, sometimes the author puts too much detail when describing certain scenes and it can get lengthy and boring to read at certain stages of the book. Lastly, the book sometimes goes through long stretches of time without any real action occurring and this can make the book a little dreary at some points.
Despite the few weaknesses, I found many things very interesting about the novel. First, I thought it was interesting to learn what life was like back in ancient times and how religion played a role in peoples’ lives. I also thought it was incredibly interesting to find out about the technology that physicians had back in the ancient times. Furthermore, I really enjoyed the dialogue and the way Mika Walteri paints images of the ancient world. This story really describes the way people thought and acted in the old world, and the author does a great job of introducing readers to the characters. Overall, I thought that the novel was interesting because it showed readers the life that people lived in ancient times, and because it does a wonderful job of letting everyone get to know and love the characters.
Yet, despite the few weaknesses, the novel is an overall great read for those who like adventures. The book is packed with many mini-adventures and experiences which are fun to read. Furthermore, the book is filled with many life lessons and can teach anyone the many joys of life. Moreover, the novel gives people a great incite on life in the ancient Middle East and it is very interesting to learn about past and to see how it has helped to shape our everyday life. Therefore, I would recommend Mika Walteri’s The Egyptian to anybody looking for an exciting and adventurous book.

باید اعتراف کنم که من فقط جلد اول این کتاب را خوانده ام! ولی از همان جلد اول خیلی چیزهای جالبی یاد گرفتم. مثلا اون جراحی که کاسه سر را بر میداند و غده را از روی مغز بر میدارند. آن هم با حضور شخصی که بوی بدش باعث می شود شخص بیمار خون ریزی نداشته باشد.

How I wish that all of Waltari's works would be reprinted and easily available! The Egyptian is simply one of the all-time best pieces of historical fiction ever written. If you're a fan of this genre, then grab this author's books. The Etruscan is a bit more mystical, but is an excellent read and Secret of the Kingdom takes a Roman viewpoint of the times leading up to Jesus's death. The Dark Angel is just that - a bit darker than the other novels, but all are chock full of unforgettable charact...more

به خاطر دارم که دو ترجمه متفاوت از این کتاب را خواندم. تر جمه نخست از ذبیح الله منصوری بود که اگر بی انصاف نباشم، بد نبود. زبان ترجمه اش بسیار ساده بود. بیشتر به کتابهای دوره راهنمایی شبیه بود. اما متاسفانه نام مترجم دیگر را به خاطر ندارم. ترجمه دومی که خواندم پیش از انقلاب چاپ شد...more

كتابي با دو جلد و ترجمه خوب ذبيح الله منصوري
اين كتاب در 1350 سال قبل از ميلاد مسيح نوشته شده است

كتاب تاريخيه خيلي جالبي هستش واقعا آدمي گاه از جهالت خودش حيرت مي كنه برام جالب بود كه ما آدمها از پس اين قرنها و ساليان و نسلها گذشتيم ولي هنوز خيلي نقص داريم، خيلي اشتباه مي كنيم ، من فكر مي كنم مشكل انسانها اينه كه هر كدوم فكر مي كنن خودشون درست ميگن

I actually read this while I was in Egypt and it made the reading experience even richer. The places he describes really excist even Waltari has never been in Egypt. You could call that good background work.

I'm really into ancient Egypt, so how could I not like this? It's a heavy read, but also rewarding. At times I just couldn't put it down, but other times it caused a lots of trouble to concentrate. Either way, I'm glad I read it.

This book (which I listened to in English, not Arabic) follows the life of a doctor in Ancient Egypt. Having not read any other books that took place during this time, and having just returned from visiting several of the places mentioned in the book, I thought it was interesting. Not the most exciting story though -- wouldn't have rated it as high without the connection.
