I EFFIN LOVE THIS MEGAMORPH!

I READ IT FOR 5 TIMES ALREADY.

The Chapter 1 startled me though.. The Earth is Yeerk-infested, Cassie a slave owner, Jake a rebel leader in hiding, Ax hiding from Yeerks, Tobias and MELISSA (I AM STILL ANNOYED EVERYTIME I THINK OF IT)and Marco... Well.. The same douchebag. Only more intelligent, though..

Then the Crayak's assistant came and changed everything to normal (Cassie the annoying morality bitch, Jake the leader of Animorphs, Ax the fighter, Tobias AND RACHEL a...more

This is my favorite Megamorphs book after #2 (because dinosaurs rock). This one is really badass, because who doesn't love it when your favorite characters travel through time? The Animorphs get to travel through time to major historical events to stop Visser Four, who is trying to rewrite history. It's almost all action and it seems to be more enjoyable if you're a history buff (history was always my LEAST favorite class in school next to math), but I think this is a classic book all around. Trying to finish up my Goodreads book challenge for the year so I pulled out this quick childhood read from 1999 to reread. Still good. Time travel, history, Jake in danger...good stuff. My only complaint is that as a adult reading this the characters aren't written as differently as I remember. Still, I like that it raises complex ethical questions for YA readers.

I do not know how I ever would have survived junior high without this fantastic science fiction series. Maybe the story quality went down as the book numbers got higher, but the idea that aliens were invading our planet secretly... it was almost good enough for a young teenager to believe.

Read these as a kid. They were one of the series that kept me reading.

This felt really pointless to me. A time travel story, which is ok, but resolved a little too easily. Just bored me really.

Time-travel has always fascinated me, and this was no exception. Good book.
