My Review of KILLER VIEW by Ridley Pearson

Ridley Pearson brings back Sheriff Walt Fleming in his new suspenseful story, Killer View. With well developed, intriguing characters and a stunning setting in Sun Valley, Idaho, Pearson has readers unable to put this mystery down as its intricately woven plot keeps you captivated.

When the story opens, a skier is reported missing on Galena Summit in Sun Valley so Sheriff Fleming is immediately alerted. Fleming brings together his top-notch resc...more

I now like this author, I'll defintely read/listen to anoth one of his books. Suspensful, a few clever insights about crime investigation. The lead character Walt was likeable, and other characters were basically real enough to discern between. The chemical dump mystery had a few twists that I was not expecting, though on retrospect the clues were obviously set up in the preceeding chapters. Good fun with the hibernating bear when it awakes, and other animal characters were realistically inv...more

Nancy _ I found this book and it looks good! Also going to listen to Bk 1 of Sheriff Walt Fleming on tape "Killer Weekend". Also want to read Pearson's Lou Boldt detective thrillers. DonnaFINISHED AND ENJOYED CHARACTERS AND DESCRIPTIONS OF SUN VALLEY ID AREA. DONNA

My biggest problem with the book is the point of view changes. One chapter you're in the mind of the killer/psycho, the next the sheriff, then the vet. It made my head spin. Take away that, and it could've been a much better story.

This is the second book by Pearson that I've read. Both were enjoyable. He creates characters I care about and enough mystery and gripping suspense to drive the story. This was also bit nostalgic for me having lived in Idaho for so many years.

Set in Idaho. Would make a good movie - thriller - murder/disappearance, terrorist activity (but domestic, not foreign). I did not figure out the ending, but got a little bored in the middle (hence the 3 stars instead of 4).

While this was a good book, and I like the Walt series, it's just not the same as reading Ridley Pearson's Lou Boldt series. I miss Lou! This book was full of adventure and twists and turns, and I found it enjoyable.

Normally I really like this author but this one was "too busy" and lots happening and not one of his best for me, but I'll continue to read him every time he publishes.
P.s. I read the book..didnt listen to the audio.

This was the first disappointing book from Pearson I've read. I really enjoy his Lou Boult character and Walt Fleming just doesn't compare. I was somewhat bored thru the book.

Interesting. It reads like a PJ Tracy novel. Set in Idaho with the non-commissioned nuclear reactor plant as its background problem. Good characters. I enjoyed the read.

I liked this book but it took forever to get through. I normally zip through books but it just couldn't hold my attention.

Not my favorite by this author but certainly not a disappointment. Has enough suspense to keep the pages turning.

This one wasn't bad, but I like the Lou Boldt series set in Seattle better.
