This was a pretty good book. It started off well but then sort of leveled out and ended ho-hum... The psycho villain's POV was very disturbing but I think it gave the book a little something extra.. I felt so sorry for the H/h, they loved each other so much but somewhere something went wrong and they lost each other.. This H is one of the best Ive read. He was so sweet. This was leaning towards a 4 star read but the final showdown with the villain was more of a hiccup instead of the showdown it ...more

My only complaint is that it ended too soon. It was good to see a couple in a romance novel that had issues as a couple. In most cases the couple in focus has issues as individuals that leave the relationship off balance from the beginning, but in the case of Carrington's tale her hero and heroine/damsel-in-distress seem to be strong individuals. I wish there had been a few more flashbacks but seeing as how the story progressed fine without them, I understand why they were left up to the imagina ...more

This book at times was nail biting. Had to see if Morgan and Evan would be safe from the sick Dexter. Loved this story of true love for both Morgan and Evan even though they were divorced at the time of this incident.

I read this book sometime in October. This is the first book I read by this author. It kept me interested from beginning to end. It had just the right amount of action and romance. It was a great read.

I've been writing for over thirty years and though I've written paranormal, fantasy, and science fiction, I've since then shifted my focus to suspense novels and young adult. My suspense novels still tend to have a little romance in them, but my young adult novels deal more with social issues and heroines facing life dilemmas.

I live in Charleston, SC, a city which was recently named the #1 city i

“I’ve never needed a bodyguard, Evan.”
His hands stilled on the glasses.

“Maybe that isn’t such a bad idea now.”

“It’s a terrible idea. I would never want anyone watching every move I make. It’s unnerving. There are fresh lemons in the bottom drawer.”

Evan squatted and tugged open the vegetable crisper inside the refrigerator. “You know,” he waved a piece of the yellow fruit for emphasis, “you may want to think about it, though.”

Morgan smacked the table so hard the salt and pepper shakers jumped.

He grinned and stood. “Haven’t lost your temper, I see.”

“My temper wasn’t burned.”
