Typical and predictable of Robinson
When one reads a Patrick Robinson you should be prepared for a fast paced, well written novel. This is no different in terms of its pacing and writing. I must say that the story is a bit of stretch however exciting. Robinson has to be one of Dick Chehey's favorite authors and the Admiral Morgan character a neocon favorite. A fun read however.
First rate wind up of his series with Admiral Morgan and the rest of the characters developed so well in Patrick Robinson's previous books. Tension, thrills and action galore should make this movie material. Must read if you are a fan of his books.
Standard potboiler military novel. It's good at what it does, but its right-wing jingoism is painful. Morgan uses "towelheads" as a derogative until literally the very end of the book, and the subplot of how The Media is dangerous to security is laughable.
I liked this book. The book is a series from this author with Admiral Arnold Morgan as the key character and the nemisis Ravi Rashood, now a commander of Hamas, formerly a member of the British SAS.
Adm. Morgan to the rescue...just started it and it looks as though the Jihadists are at it again...basically a summer read...well-drawn characters from earlier novels converge in a showdown...good ol' Admiral Morgan wins again...not Robinson's best, but a solid melodramatic read!
Fast paced thriller with twists each and every turn. Patrick Robinson brings back the characters you love and those you hate from prior books, and ties up loose ends. This book is a great read.
After having read every one of Patrick Robinson's previous novels, I was looking forward to reading this one.
I was sadly dissapointed with this book and had to stop after 10 pages. His portrayal of air traffic controllers and their actions is pathetic at best. Additionally, his laughable mistake of making F-16s flying out of Langley Air Force Base, Virginia and Andrews Air Force Base is criminal at best.

Good, but the right time to end the sequence of books containing the familiar characters!
Been awhile since I read this author, and was glad to welcome back the irascible Morgan and his friends.
Apt title...it was almost "To the Death" to read. Gave it two stars cause I made it through the book but it isn't that exciting or interesting.
This was great, action packed and I couldn't put it down the last 20 pages.
Robinson always has the knack of the Naval Novel.
Rob

The hatred of America due to our meddling in the affairs of foreign countries. How Government feels they have the freedom to do what ever they want. Not according to our Constitution However. But they only use our Constitution when it suits their ulterior motives anyhow.
Well drawn characters, some from his earlier work. This book fits well into the military/ political context he's created over the years. The Admiral was a bit too hardheaded in this one, but all in all a great summer read for Mr. Robinson's fans.
Patrick Robinson is one of my favorite Military (Naval) writers. His books are always enjoyable reads. This is his most current book.
Horribly boring... Yikes; what a snore!
