It is my opinion that this is one of the finest examples of contemporary romance. I find something new every time I read it. I am overwhelmed by all of the levels to this book. This was an interesting novel with some details about Chinese culture. Not knowing a lot of history though, I was somewhat skeptical about how accurate they are.

Wow - I got through about 20 pages - this book is CRAP!!!
I have NO idea what led me to it, but take my word for it - it's total "grocery store lit". (i.e. - you could probably find this book AT the grocery store, by all the tabloid magazines).

Just about the best book Lowell has ever done. Fanastic, twisting plot, great characters, and a really hot love story.
